Mike Rowe I believe is his name? You should see the one where he spends the day with a pig farmer **pukey face**.

Yes...very funny show :p

Yes, it a great show. It's so cool the host was recently on the Daily Show with John Stewert.

It's one of my favorites. :D

Have you seen the one where he cleans out the pumps at a sewer plant?

Or makes charcoal briquettes?

Or dissects a whale carcass?

You do appreciate your own employment after seeing what jobs he performs for a day or two, and realize that people do it for a living.

From what you've told us before, I wonder if he'd like to work with you sometime? ;)

I can't watch most of those eppisodes. I don't mind the ones where he is doing hard labor, but when he is doing the grossout jobs I have to change the channel and fast. Too many of the segments are grossout jobs, and I just don't like that kind of thing. I don't find vomiting fun.

Just watched that one. It had me laughing my ass off.

I would love to see him having to clean out a Chicken Coop or working in a Mink Ranch. (Phew)

Has he done an episode working in a Slaughter House?

LOLOL

It's kind of funny how when we're working we don't think just how disgusting what we're doing would be considered by other people.

Mike Rowe is hilarious! The show wouldn't be nearly as good without him, in my opinion. My husband has taken to recording it on the DVR he likes it so much. :D

One of my favorite shows. First of all it's funny, mostly because of Mike Rowe, but also a lot of the people he does the work with are amusing. But I also find it amazing the sorts of jobs people really have. Like Owl pellet picker-upper (yeah, that's when the owl vomits up the fur and bones of a dead mouse).

There was one where he had to 'sex' chicks (figure out what sex the baby chickens are  ) by squeezing the shit out of them, literally. They pick up a chick, give it a squeeze into a bucket, turn it over and look. It's a job that is handled primarily by Asians here in the US, since it is a skill that they have a lot of experience with apparently. Don't ask me why. That was an episode that went pretty much over my head.

There was also one where he went out on a job with a punk/goth pest exterminator. That was pretty cool, mostly because the exterminator had found a job that seemed to suit him quite well.

Yeah! A new episode. Cave Digging and Airport Worker. Although you east coast people probably already saw it.

BTW, am I the only one impressed with his stamina? For a TV host to do hard labor all day is pretty impressive.

He must workout. :D

Cat- I've seen the show a few times, definitely a good one. :) Have you seen Going Tribal? Another good Discovery program.
