<enjoying sparky's wicked comment>

they need to let those damn catholic priests FUCK....something.....other than children....hell.....a barnyard behind the rectory is NOT a bad idea....versus those horny creeps perving on children.....and the almighty catholic church looking the other way until it's out of hand...

perfect example.....Gilbert Gauthe....omg....seems everyone in south louisiana knows someone who knows someone who that nasty weak lil worm of a man fucked....lives ruined....read this book and then be proud of being catholic....your church..your leaders...it's an investigative look at all the church knew...and how they covered it up....

Lead Us Not into Temptation : Catholic Priests and the Sexual Abuse of Children
by Jason Berry

still thinking some tight-assed farm animals would deter some of the perving...or maybe a few boiled hams microwaved and bored out with lil pussy or ass holes....tossed into their bedrooms at night....might keep those "priests" from going boingggg when the altar boy shows up for practice.....

just fucking nasty......

Catholic priests should be allowed to marry. Denying them that option causes nothing but trouble.

I totally agree with tortoise, that the catholic church should allow priests to marry. I'm greek orthodox, and the priests in my side of the Christian fence are allowed to marry, and there are never any problems.

I went to a pretty prestigious catholic high school, and right now, my freshman year history teacher is being accused of molesting some kids back in the 70's...now, nothing ever happened in the 4 years i was at school, but it just seems like its turning into a witch hunt...this guy is like 80 years old...i dunno, it seems like people are just trying to point fingers everywhere.

yes the celibacy thang...is the real issue...they are human beings...and should be allowed to date or marry...your sexuality is not something that can shut off just because a vow is made...the denial of the physical need is what leads to the perversion....

i'm episcopalian...and our priests are allowed to marry.....

<nodding>

I've read quite a few news stories about MARRIED men who have a thing for boys.

i know what you mean Tess, but i think the thing about Priests is that they're men of God, who are to be trusted, pure, and honorable...its a problem all over, but more so for Priests, because of who they are,and what they're supposed to be.

What they are supposed to be?

Is human.

The higher the pedestal,the further the fall.

The whole issue of the priests and the kids is pretty sick. I mean i would be pretty fucked up if someone i trusted or was taught that they are the direct phone line to God was fondling me. Considering you are also taught that no one touches your "no-no" places as a kid. It's a sad fucked up world we are in.:rolleyes:

Like morgan said, they're supposed to have a direct line to God...these men are supposed to be God's voice on earth...not sick freaks

So maybe they hear Gods voice and it's saying,"Bend that alter boy over an give him a good seeing to"?

Ya just dunno now,do ya?

Unless you go by the Bible, which is God's inspired word, which tells ya that homosexuality is a sin. So its kinda hard to believe that God would be telling priests to touch kids.

btw, tess, you've got a killer body :)

I think that celibacy has a ton to do with the molestation of the children. I am a protestant and our pastors are allowed to marry and I honestly can not remember the last time I heard of anything happening with a child. I understand that they are celibate to be better able to dedicate their life to god, but I think that they are only human like the rest of us.

I also think that the Catholic Church has a lot to answer to as far as this. In a lot of cases, they seem to know what is going on and do nothing other than to move a priest to a new location. They also seem to want to go around the police to minimize the media impact of what happens. I hope that these will change over time and that the priests will be prosecuted just like all the other sexual predators of this sort. Just my 2 cents.

well maybe instead of a microwaved ham or farm animals.....the powers that be in rome....could just order jenna jameson plastic pussies.....similar to riff's...for all the horndog priests.....hmmmm....encourage healthy masturbation....with adult-sized orifices.....

Amen. This is what gets my goat. More so than the Priests being molestors. The cover up. Shhhhh. Don't warn the parents at the next parish. Good post Chewey.

While sharing the revulsion at the abuse of children - and finding any cover-up quite unjustifiable - other societies, such as Athenian society, had a different view of homosexual love, especially men for young boys - as in Plato's symposium.

I imagine many priests see it an an expression of love - indeed I have heard that as a sort of defence argument - not very convincing in terms of the emotional and psychological damage to the child, but perhaps a pointer to the unfulfilled needs of the priests who abuse.

"Amour inemployee" as they say here.
