Oh this brings back memories

I'm sitting here watching "Lobstermen" on the Discovery Channel. Oh this brings back memories. No I didn't work on a Bug Boat but I did work on Trawlers for a couple of years. Hell I even know one of the Bug Boats.

The conditions they are showing bring back even more memories.

That's a hard way to make a living nowdays and only getting harder. Alot of the oldtimers are retireing and not nearly as many youger guys are taking it up. A dying breed.

Yeah there have been some problems with both the Lobstering and the fishing.

The bugs recently went through a die off for which they are still looking for a cause. This hit a lot of the guys hard.

The fishermen have been hit hard with over fishing and with the lowered stocks from this. In their defense it is not solely their fault. When you have a Japanese Fishing Fleet show up there is hell to pay.
