Just a few days ago I posted a thread affirming my individuality on the pop culture front. And today I accepted an interview with a law firm that has well over 3,000 attorneys and gross revenues approaching 1.5 billion dollars. Talk about re-affirming my stance as a cog in the wheel.

Ah yes the lure and comfort of security

:p

Gee, thanks, PC. :p It's only an interview, and I have two others, with decidedly smaller firms. Plus I have a standing offer with a relatively small firm (it's in the Top 100, but not near the top). I accepted the interview because they have two London offices, and I would do almost anything to get to live and work there. I love that city.

Be careful of the ICE thing with those damn Londoners

:p

Mishy, go see my thread on Knickers to Outsider.

:p

You don't like British beer?! I'm quite the fan. And I'm not a big cold-drink drinker, so I'd be okay with an ice cube shortage. So, again, I'm willing to sell out in the short run to get me to London. Then I'll save the world. :D

Don't worry sweetheart just come down the pub with me and I'll get you all the ice you could ever want :D

Outsider is our official ICE MAN CUMMETH

:p

Mischka London is super exspensive to live in at the moment cause there's lot's of work and housing is in short supply but I hope you find something nice

I have two years left of law school before I'd even get the chance to move there. And I may take a side trip back to D.C. before then. But I'm aware of the expense of London. Fortunately, being a cog in the wheel of a multi-billion dollar law firm would pay well, so I could hopefully manage. :)

*hands over ears*

La la la la. I can't hear you! La la la la....

Long live the cog :D

Anyway I gotta go now but I'll see you all tomorrow, I'm gonna go watch TV for a bit then off to bed, they've got my favourite film on tonight "Taxi" a french film but really funny and lot's of action.

good night all ;)

I saw your avatar on TV this week. I was watching Celebrity Homes & one of the celebs had it as a carving on her dresser. I thought of you. You aren't she, are you?!!

Darn it, the secret's out. I'm not really a law student, but a celebrity with great taste in Swedish folk art. :D

OK, so maybe that wasn't me. Which celebrity did they feature?

sounds great Mischka

hope you get what you want.
good luck on landing the position with the firm.
maybe you could get lavender to move with you! LOL
good luck girl!

Ah, you sell out.
You should become an authentic slacker ... like me.

I can't wait until our happy little group of leftists gets out into the real world. I have seen so many bright, shining faces of my students crushed by the reality of the first job and finding out that they are not as special as they have been led to believe. Then they loose a little faith in thier world and themselves.

With new attitude in hand, they confront a myriad of challenges. Meeting these challenges turns them more and more conservative as they find the happy horseshit liberal approach works nowhere outside of government.

So to our special three, I offer this. Convert to Libertarianism now or go into government so you can hold your belief system near and dear to your heart.

Someone who has been there!
