This is it my friends-by popular request-pure, rich chocolate decadence with more calories than I have ass. The recipe is located at the url. Personally, I prefer to use milk chocolate butter frosting, as opposed to sour cream chocolate frosting. I also make twice the amount of frosting to be spread in between the layers, one just doesn't seem to be enough.

That and leftover frosting is fun to smear on a certain somebody's certain upstanding part. If you catch my meaning here. ;)

Normally, I would want to take a baseball bat to you for daring to post such a thing, but I'm going to thank you instead -- my daughter and I decided this is the perfect implement with which to torture my sister.

Thank you!

Thanks Muff i mean really im still working on the 5 lbs from the Banana Split Cake!!

KM and others who use this rec. An excellent substitute for the sour cream filling is my Tirami Su filing. It is very light and fluffy.
2 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup mascarpone
2 pint of whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
2 oz of Frangelica

1 Whisk egg yolks and 1/4 cup of sugar. Whisk in the mascarpone cheese.
2 In a separate bowl, whip the cream, the rest rest of the sugar, vanilla and Frangelica until almost stiff, no peaks.
3 Fold the mascarpone mixture into the the whipped cream, continue to whip until stiff.

You can use Coolwhip if you don't wan't to whip your own cream. no pun intended. But don't add the sugar to it. Also you may want to double or triple this rec. b/c you will end up eating half before you put it on the cake. Enjoy, any questions e-mail me.

Thanks mass2, but 1/3 cup butter, 1 tsp vanilla, a little bit of milk and 4 cups sifted confectioners sugar is much easier to do.

The frosting part is a sourcream based frosting, not the filling.

KillerMuffin, my sister's reaction was everything I could hope for. She called me right after opening the link, and screamed "Oh, my GOD! Are you trying to kill me?" in my ear.

Then she said it was a great looking cake, not too hard to make, and is going to be making it.

Which means, I suppose, that MY hips are going to feel it too.

Hmmm . . .

KM, it's not that hard. Filling/frosting either or its still an excellent sub. If you added bourbon and cinnimon to your rec it would be my breadpudding sauce. Let me know ifyou want that one.

:) I'm glad CreamyLady, it's perfectly sweet revenge isn't it?

mass, i'm too lazy, therefore its work. You can cook it for me tho, i won't bitch.

Oh KM, I'll cook for you anytime, as long as you read your stories to me. But if you do that, we may never actually get anything finished.

Have you ever had the Aunt Jemimma treatment? HA HA

One slice of the cake...

Will equal 45 min on the tread mill at 3.7 mph with random hills of a range 3 to 5. OR 30 min on the stair stepper on 2.0 with no breaks for charlie horses. So when I eat the whole damn thing you will find me passed out on the Nautilus some time next week. Thanks for the great recipie!!
