I'm new to the poetry thing and just had my first poem published on Lit, but the formatting of some of the lines is out of whack...and that matters, at least to me.

Please, please, can any of you experts tell me how to go about editing and resubmitting?

Welcome, LJ. Just resubmit the poem as usual, adding "EDITED" to the title.

Hi!

Yes, Lauren is right. It may take a little longer than your 1st submission but it's well worth it. I'm glad we're able to do this.

Like she said, just go to submit poem using the same title and use a dash then the word EDIT or EDITED behind it. Submit in doc. or copy and paste in your text. If you're title is too long, write in the box that says "notes" and explain what you want to do. I had to do this a couple times.

Like this: I don't want to be your ex-princess-EDIT
Chances are you'll have to write in those notes to explain due to the length of the title. The word may not fit. There's only so much room.

Good luck :)

Practice makes perfect. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to stuff like that too. It might take about a week to get it replaced though. That's how it was for my revised work.

Wow! That is extra long!! Mine have taken 2-3 days. I wish there were an easier way, but I'm so happy we can do this.

Cool! Thank you so much - I feel better already.
