I sent an enquiry to a seller on ebay just a minute ago, and right after I clicked send I realized I'd signed it "Mistress Virginia".

It's a quirt. I guess he can figure out that I won't be using it on a horse.

Heh, if he asks, I'll send him a link. Maybe he'll find a good use for all that leather horse gear he sells. ;)

ohhh tooo funny!

anyone else ever "let slip" like that?

For me my identities within the lifestyle of BDSM and my mainstream identity are two separate things....I mean, I am the same person of course :p, but I have separate emails, blogs, ways of addressing myself, etc...

anyone else ever have their "worlds" collide?

Some years ago on a trip to visit some friends in the States, the sub woman in the couple told me that the best place to buy crops and stuff was at the tack shops, since it was much cheaper there, than in the fetisch shops. We went there one of the days I were there, and there were indeed many nice items there :D

I'm always getting my real name and Grace mixed up. I just sent an email to my mother in law, and almost signed it Grace. Actually I did, but noticed before I sent it. *whew* talk about something I didn't want to explain! I've also almost done that to my mom, and my cousin, and a friend of mine. *rolls eyes* I dont' get enough sleep.

I have sent an email to a friend at school from my "good girl" email addy and signed it Lilith. After that, everytime I emailed a professor or the dean I worried after I hit send, that I signed it Lilith. Much easier to explain to a friend than an instructor, although there is this cute Psych professor who looks like he could use a little operant conditioning;)

Oooooooooooh! You should add that to the Vanilla/Ds interaction thread! That's priceless!

I just might. It isn't very colorful though. He replied to me and capitalized "Ma'am"; I'm not sure if that meant anything or not.

I've had friends who know me IRL and online call me "Howl" from time to time without thinking about it.

Just think about how odd that sounds in conversation when a third person is there with you.

:D

Closest I've come is the fact that I respond to someone calling Vix or Vixandra.
Friends trying to catch me in crowd where I couldn't tell someone calling my name from another's- I ignore my own name being called, yell my screen name.
Gets looks too:rolleyes:

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....that is so funny!! I'd probably panick then think it funny myself - at least you were buying something like that, not a Harry Potter book or something!!! :)
