So here comes Krastner again to harass you with more of his conspiracy theories. Say can anyone tell me what our immigration laws are in place for. Well one little thing is that the immigration department only allows those immigrants to enter the country that can furnish proof of certain immunizations and proof that they are not caring infections such as Tuberculosis, to just name one horrible severely infectious disease. Did you know that a person with tuberculosis falls within the jurisdiction of the CDC. That's right Tuberculosis is controlled by the US Center for Disease Control. Why well they have this idea that if left alone that tuberculosis could reach an epidemic. A serious epidemic. It's not like in the early twenties when it was a problem.

Advances in medications can now control the disease, but it is necessary to catch the disease before too many others are infected. Do you have any idea of the immunizations that the illegals that come here across the desert from Mexico come from. What kind of conditions that they lived in before coming here. Can you imagine that they did not come from the equivalent of an American middle class environment. Not even a low class American environment. That would be like the upper class in Mexico. No they come from the dredges of Mexico. They are the desperate who would starve in Mexico and die of infectious disease. So they come here for a better life, Actually to save theirs.

They inhabit your life in more ways than you can imagine. Their children are in school with yours. What diseases are they spreading to your kids. They work on your house. they spread their diseases. They are not worried about these diseases. They have lived with them for ages. They only care that they are fed and have a roof over their heads and now they are clothed in the latest fashion. They work in your stores where you buy the food that you take home to your kids.

They pick the fruit and vegetables that you and your family eat , especially in California. Do those that employ these people know this . HELL YES. Do they care about your welfare..HELL NO. All they care is about their money and it get's even stranger. Do you have any idea of the amount of drugs that come across the desert with these illegals. Heroin and coke. Pot isn't the problem. In California it all but legal so only the deadly drugs come across. Who makes money on these drugs..Why the same people that brought you Manuel Noriega and gwbush...that's right our own government. Why do you think we tried to control central America for. Think there is not a connection between the administration and Fox in Mexico for the express purpose of letting all the drugs come across the border with illegal immigrants. How the hell do you think they get here. They are paid to carry the drugs. These people aren't just criminals breaking our immigration laws . They are criminals carrying deadly drugs into America that will eventually destroy your kids and your families.

And you are letting them. You are crying for them. You will let them destroy you. Unfortunately they will also destroy me. And I can't allow you to do that without my constant voice tearing what you believe apart..You know why? Because it is your criminal beliefs that are allowing criminals to destroy us. I wonder who is the dumbest. You or the Illegals.? Now here's an article..It's long but you don't have to do a goddamned thing..except maybe die... And watch where they are at.. All over the US.. Only people across the oceans are safe from this invasion.. HEY CANADA...Think you are safe..not by a long shot...

Demonstrating for Germ Warfare
William Jud

Cough.
Sneeze.
Spit.

Infect everyone around you with every airborne communicable disease you brought into these United States from Mexico.

Recently we American citizens watched as tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of Illegal Immigrants gathered in several U.S. cities to stage massive protests demanding Illegal Immigrant Rights.

What we were not told by our news media (surprise?) is that those gatherings included a sizeable number of persons who have communicable diseases that they carried across the border from Mexico. Every cough, every sneeze, every spit on the ground, released the seeds of drug-resistant tuberculosis and other communicable diseases, infected tens to hundreds of surrounding protesters and bystanders, and left behind a wake of infectious material coating streets, bushes and everything else that people and animals will come in contact with during days and weeks following the demonstrations.

When the weather is warm enough for anopheles mosquitoes to be active, you can add to the list of shared diseases such mosquito-born diseases as malaria, Dengue fever, and West Nile virus acquired from infected illegal immigrants and transferred to U.S. citizens.

Under normal circumstances, an infected illegal alien who has multi-drug resistant tuberculosis acquired in Mexico will infect 10 to 30 people with whom he or she comes in contact. During illegal immigrant rights massive demonstrations, where tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of people are tightly packed together for an extended time, each sneezing, coughing, and spitting infected person may pass multi-drug resistant tuberculosis on to hundreds of people.

This germ warfare attack on Americans is a time bomb. It is not like arson or vandalism which has immediate and highly visible results. The spread of infectious disease is delayed by the incubation period of the disease. multi-drug resistant tuberculosis that is released into the U.S. and illegal immigrant population during the demonstrations by illegal immigrants requires anywhere from several weeks to several months or even longer to manifest. By the time the tuberculosis epidemic is beginning in large U.S. cities, most people will have forgotten that the swarming masses of illegal immigrants jammed together in cities and demanding their ‘rights’ are the vector that released multi-drug resistant tuberculosis within the local US population.

More illegal Iimigrant rights demonstrations are planned for this summer. That is enough time for diseases that infected thousands of people at the first demonstrations to have reached the communicable stage. Massive demonstrations during the summer and fall of this year will further infect fifty to a hundred times or more than the number of people infected during the first demonstrations. Then the newly infected people will infect the people they come into contact with, and the epidemics will spread.

The United States worked for decades to eliminate terrible infectious diseases. Now those diseases are back, a result of our ridiculous open door policy and failure to control our borders in the name of cheap labor. We are now seeing resurgence and introduction, not only of malaria and multi-drug resistant tuberculosis , but also chagas, leprosy, e-coli intestinal parasites, hepatitis A-B-C, polio, Kawasaki Disease, and potentially even Marburg disease and hemorrhagic Ebola brought in from Africa.

Tuberculosis outbreaks in Michigan and Texas schools began when coughing illegal alien children infected with tuberculosis attended public school. Minnesota police officers caught tuberculosis from arrested Illegal aliens coughing in the patrol cars.

It is already too late to stop reentry of these deadly infectious diseases carried by illegal aliens swarming into these United States. But we can slam the immigration door shut now and deport most of the future disease problems by deporting the illegals.

Before your heart goes out to the poor, downtrodden illegal immigrants, consider that germ warfare is probably a deliberate component of the Reconquista attack by Mexicans to return our southwestern states to Mexican ownership.

As reported in a News With Views article on 30 March 2006, University of Texas professor Angel Gutierrez said "We have an aging white America ... They are dying ...We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him."

There aren’t enough illegal alien Mexicans in these United States right now to kill all the gringos using guns and knives, but there are way more than enough infected Illegals to begin the conquest of these United States by inducing epidemics of deadly infectious diseases.

The Mexican germ warfare attack is building momentum while our senators and representatives in Congress dither on what to do about illegal immigration. Remember this criminal, treasonous sellout of American health and security when you vote in November, if you are not too sick to go and vote.

That sounds scary as hell. I did some research on the matter and you are right about

legal immigrants having to fulfill certain things like being free of disease. I know the

sign at Bedloes Island say something about giving me your sick. I do not think that it

meant given me your carriers of disease. We would have all been dead of something

by now if that weren't the case. Seems like the first immigrants to this country

brought all sort of diseases to the inhabitants at the time. The American Indian.

Problem with 'curing' TB apparently is that it divides very slowly. You have to give antibiotic treatment on a regular basis over a period of weeks in order to rid the body of it.

The people who get TB are not 'good prospect' patients. If they are homeless/transient/of no fixed adress/ illegal etc. it is not likely that a cure can be applied.

Think that TB is like HIV/AIDS in that its 'weapon of choice' is its slowness. A turtle winning a race with a hare.

Good to have more info about Tuberculosis. The average person doesn't really aware of the efforts our government goes through keeping our country free of it. That's all past history and we are seeing it pop up all over the place. Here in Alameda County Ca. before illegals can get food stamps they have to prove they don't have it.. ( I can't even get them. The people at the place are all Mexican and they practice racism)

So here we are being swamped with diseases and no one except for you and Nyminus seem to give a shit about it.. Here we just ...and I mean just stop the spread of Aids and now those same people that gave it to the US, those in San Franswishco, are helping the illegals to spread new diseases among us.

While your statements of facts are true, as far as I can tell from the CDC, the potential for spread of communicable disease is not limited to immigrants. Anyone traveling abroad has the potential for infection of numerous diseases. Not only that, TB has been on the rise here, secondary to HIV infections.

I'm not siding with the immigrants plight, but this should not be soley pinned on them.

Have read that roughly half of TB cases in the US occur in illegal immigrants. Will try to find some up to date data.

Quote. 'Not only that, TB has been on the rise here, secondary to HIV infections.'

Find that interesting, as mentioned above both are 'too slow' diseases.

Anyone know where immunization fits into the picture?

What lil says is true if you want to split hairs. Recently a mumps outbreak was traced to some air passengers from England. But I think we should take each possible infectious are in the order of their potential. Right now that is the illegals aliens. Of course most Americans will try and ignore the threat because they don't want to be "politically incorrect" and call for action against the illegals.

OK. If illegals make up 1/30th of the population but have 1/2 the cases of TB that is quite a concentration. I would think that if the public in general is not immunized the disease will spread into the larger public body and have to be dealt with.

Also if this part of the population 'does not exist on paper' and has a fearful and resistant attitude toward authority it possibly it cant be dealt with under present conditions.

I also womder what part of the crimes that they have committed. The part about not existing on paper. They never will.. They will never accept being identified even if we said that they would get citizen ship. To many of them, they don't want citizenship. Existing greedy and ambitious Latin leaders want them to have citizenship so that they can vote them into power. The leaders need to be " taken care of"
To the rank and file illegal it would only mean that they would have to pay taxes and they are against that. They want everything that we have but they don't want to pay for it.

Looks like the only 'civil' way out is if the Latin leaders have enough 'lead' to pull the illegals online. If I were an illegal with TB I would be quite interested in being able to get quality medical care.

At some point the system/Latin leaders will have to reign the illegals or the consequences could be fatal.

Thing is that there is no quick, clean solution because the problem has been allowed to grow to such proportions.

Like you sat there is no quick clean solution to the problem. Just today i found out that an illegal had moved into the garage apartment of a friend of mine A mexican lady, Her son is a native born six years old. She also came here legally to marry a friend years ago. I cautioned her against kletting the little boy have a lot of contact with him and explained about the diseases. She got real scared and protective about her son. I imagine she will call her relative and say that she cannot help the illegal by giving him a place to stay. Her family comes foirst.

I hated to scare her but i like her and the boy very much, they are friends. Friends do not let friends be exposed.

While I can understand your concern, you're going to panic everyone. The little boy should have up-to-date immunizations. We cannot live in a bubble.

You did the right thing I think.

Do you speak any Spanish? I've heard its rather easy as languages go. Think you could tune in alot better if you did, would sort of give you an inside view.

And besides if they take over - you speak the language, a good buddy.

People forget and don't like to recall that on Ellis Island, we did not simply let everyone in. They did health screenings and shipped a LOT of immigrants back, denying them entry to the U.S.

There IS such a thing as a good and bad immigrant. We seem to have allowed ALL of them in under the guise of misplaced compassion, one-world lunacy, and cheap labor.

The health ramifications have been one of the most under-reported aspects of the spectre of illegal immigration that exists.

TB is almost at an epidemic level, Chagas disease, leprosy, polio, smallpox, dengue fever, malaria, you name it--we're getting it. The U.S. had almost eradicated such diseases and now we're on the express train to epidemics as if this were pre-Industrial Revolution times.

(In the past 40 years, only 900 people had leprosy in the U.S.--in the past three years, more than 7,000 cases have been identified. Chagas is a nasty parasitic bug common in Latin America, where 18 million people are infected and 50,000 die annually.)

It's no conspiracy people....it's happening.

Oh hell, here comes Nipples Mcgee to tell Krastner what a windbag douche blower he is.

Exactly, and all these rather serious conditions are much cheaper to prevent than they are to cure.

Possibily krastner did misname the thread. I people go around with the idea that we are done with all this stuff they are wrong.

Chagas, dengue, and malaria are spread by insect bites, chagas, aka American Trypanosomosis, aka "sleeping sickness" by reduvid beetles, aka "assassin bugs," and the other two by mosquitos. We're unlikely ever to have a problem with reduvids, since they tend to live in thatched roofs and bite at night. Wrt to malaria and dengue, we always had them here until we started carpet bombing with pesticides, which caused all sorts of other problems. Not really much to do with immigration. We could knock them down again if we decided to, but it's all politicized. The book Mosquito: A Natural History of Our Most Persistent and Deadly Foe does a nice job describing--very neutrally I thought--the campaigns and history of malaria, and proposes a solution for the US as the anopheles mosquitos work their way back into the country. The same tactics would work for the Aedes aegypti mosquitos that spread dengue.

Hansen's disease, "leprosy," is a bacterial infection to which only a small percentage of the population is susceptible.
How does HD spread? Can anyone get this disease?
Hansen’s Disease specialists believe that the bacteria is spread by way of the respiratory or air borne route. Approximately 95% of the world’s population has a natural protection against or resistance to the bacteria that causes HD. Persons with this resistance will not get HD if they are exposed. For unknown reasons, there are a few people (approximately 5% of the world’s population) who have little or no protection. The susceptible person can get the disease on exposure to an untreated person with Hansen’s disease.

Smallpox is all but eradicated worldwide, and polio can be easily combatted here by vaccination, just like it was back when Salk discovered the vaccine for it, in the early 1900s. In fact, and I'm not breaking your balls, Kras, I'll bet Krastner was vaccinated.

I do agree that we shouldn't be letting people in carrying dangerous diseases; I'm not disagreeing with your point wrt Ellis Island and screening immigrants, nor am I suggesting that we shouldn't combat illegal immigration. I just wanted to provide some information about the diseases you mentioned, so as to keep people from overreacting.

I don't know quite as much about TB, but I will guardedly agree that it could be a serious problem in illegal immigrants.

Excellent post Peregrinator.

Problem here I think is that because these diseases are from our cultural past they are under everybodys radar screen. Ive never even heard of 'Chagas'

Are children routinely immunized for TB and polio? In the twenties everyone would know TB, in the fifties polio, but today I'm not even sure they are on the list?

Anyhow thanks for an informative post.

My pleasure. I enjoy infectious disease, especially the travel medicine aspect. You've never heard of Chagas because it doesn't happen in the States. You get it from a bug who lives in thatched roofs primarily and crawls and bites at night; impoverished locals and adventurous travellers are at risk, in tropical and primitive conditions. There are hundreds of diseases like that, that the rest of the world doesn't even have to think about.

BCG, or bacille Calmette-Guérin, is a vaccine for tuberculosis (TB) disease. BCG is used in many countries with a high prevalence of TB to prevent childhood tuberculous meningitis and miliary disease. However, BCG is not generally recommended for use in the United States because of the low risk of infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the variable effectiveness of the vaccine against adult pulmonary TB, and the vaccine’s potential interference with tuberculin skin test reactivity. The BCG vaccine should be considered only for very select persons who meet specific criteria and in consultation with a TB expert.

and

After careful deliberation, CDC has accepted the recommendation of its Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to change the routine childhood polio vaccination schedule. To decrease the occurrence of vaccine-associated paralytic polio, as well as to protect the community from outbreaks of wild-virus polio, the CDC's recommendation is that children in the United States receive two doses of inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) followed by two doses of oral polio vaccine (OPV). CDC also continues to believe that both the four-dose schedule of OPV, currently routinely recommended, and the alternate four-dose schedule of IPV remain acceptable options for childhood immunization.

In other words TB is not covered due to rarity and other considerations whereas polio is covered.

The point krasner was originally making re TB was that it was a potentially serious disease which we were importing with illegal immigrants.

Any idea how expensive TB is to treat?

Treatment is free through your county health department, or it was in my case. I was exposed and treated ten years ago. The treatment, if I remember correctly, was 6 months and consisted of one pill a day.

Thank you NaughtyLil1. Important point here - 6 months 1 pill per day - may not work out with the sectors of society that need the help most. Hope everyone has a good local Health unit.

Yeah, as I said, TB is a potential issue, for sure. They keep a really close eye on it, though; it's not like it's going to surprise anyone. I wouldn't get too worried about it yet.

I agree. We all should be taking precautionary measures anyway. Making sure the kids are up on their shots, etc. As adults, we need to make sure our personal health is in order, eat healthier diets, pop a multivitamin to boost our immune sytems, whatever.
