I cut off all my hair. It was over halfway down my back and now it just touches my shoulders AND I had layers put in. I spent the whole drive home saying over and over "What did I do? It's all gone! It's all gone!"

my mother told me tonight that I've always freaked out at getting my hair cut. She said I used to cry everytime they would cut it... so it's just a thing with me I suppose. My hair hasn't been this short in 6-7 yrs but I appreciate positive thoughts. *smile*

It will grow hon...I also have the same problem. The very first time I got my hair cut...the poor girl was half done when I started crying, I told her to glue it all back on, I didn't want it cut anymore. I am now 41 and my hair is half way down my back, thinking I should really cut it short, as I wear it pulled back due to my job. The last time I had it cut, the hair dresser didn't want to cut it, SHE kept asking me if I was sure LOL (btw...it was past my butt and when she was done it was about 2 inches long...LOL)

Damn girl! Down to your butt and then to 2"?? That's pretty drastic. The only time I went that drastic was when I was pregnant. I cut it to about an inch off my head all over.. I have no idea what I was thinking. I was married at the time and the hairdresser asked me.. "Does your husband know you're doing this?" and I said, "No" and she said.. "Don't tell him it was me who did it!" LOL...

He didn't like it either, said it felt like he was married to a different person.

~sigh. I posted this in hopes that I would feel BETTER about this, but it's just not working. :-(

It will grow back in time, back in the day when my hair was long like yours (halfway down my back) I cut it all off.......well at least to shoulder length and in less than a year it was back long again. Just takes time. Now I keep my hair short and it grows like a 1/2 inch and I go and get it whacked. Go figure!!!!
