That we can't get enough avatar pictures to fill a playing card deck?

Yes, faithful denizens, the Author's Hangout Avatar Playing Card Deck (the AHAVPCD for short...is that short?) is a little more than HALF FULL.

We've already had enough people express interest in purchasing a deck to get started making them, except we don't have enough avatars to fill the deck. The decks will be available for purchase for as long as we have them, so if you can't buy one now, you can buy one later on. If you can't commit funds up front, don't worry about it -- be a part anyway. We just want a full set of cards.

Check the links in my signature for more details on where to send your AV file and requirements for the file to be printable. Come on, don't be left out. Others want to have your AV in their deck so they can have their AV rub up against yours in those hot and heavy games of Strip Go Fish so popular around here!

I play with a full set of cards, mainly of me, but will gladly lend something of my cards if you are willing to ante up? Depends, I guess on the hand being played ... (she says poker faced).

I'm hoping to enlist those already commited into strong arm tactics on those who haven't ;) I don't want to double up if I don't have to, and a LOT of people aren't yet participating.

We are going through our list and checking it twice. I was reluctant to make it public, but if you ask me in PM I will tell you if particular people are participating or not.

The Numbers

Okay, just so everyone knows, we have commitments from about 22 people for the cards, howeverl we have only received orders from 9 people. A few people have ordered multiples (special thanks to IMP who ordered a whole bunch) but we need a full 20 sets ordered for us to afford to print. I planned to print about 30 sets, which will cost us that full 20 sets to print and ship (the last 10 would be a modicom of profit, assuming our shipping costs aren't higher than I estimated).

TOTAL SETS ORDERED: 15
TOTAL SETS PAID FOR: 11 (4 sets have checks coming, but have not arrived)
TOTAL AVS COMMITTED: 30
TOTAL AVS RECEIVED: 17

what does thi mean? It means I need 5 sets purchased to cover the cost of the print run, we need the other 13 AVs of the commitment and we need to recruit 22 more AVs for the # cards.

Jammies?!? I need you to put on your Dom shoes and start stomping on people!

(And yes, it really is my body in the AV... the wings, however, are added.)

WHichever one no one else wants? LOL, I don't care... Pick one and go. It's not full frontal... *doublechecks* Nope... not full frontal. A breast, but nothing drastic.

And truthfully, if no one wants the Ace or 8 of spades, I'll take one of those.

Guess what?

I finally went and reviewed the guidelines... you can't have Weapon for the cards. :rolleyes: I should have checked beforehand to make sure. Sorry....
