I know that many of you here would want to know that Ogg has passed away.

Posted on the Author's Hangout this morning by Handley Page:

I have received a letter from Ogg's wife who informs me that Ogg died on the 30th May, peacefully at home with his family.
His funeral is scheduled for 14-07-23 at 15:20hrs. His daughter Kate is investigating the possibility of live-streaming this event.

May he rest in Peace.

To Ogg. Gonna miss your signature voice and your tales of an era bygone, good sir. :rose:

Won't ever forget the smoky antics of Fag-Ash Lil, your best character. (y)

Thanks for letting us know, Melissa.

Mostly I knew Ogg as somebody who could give a serious answer to a question about British history and culture. I read some of his stories over the years. A couple of years ago we exchanged PMs because I was glad to see that he was still alive in spite of his struggles with cancer, and to comment on some of his recent stories and to say that I thought his writing continued to improve. He told me that he was actually a cliff rescue volunteer back in the 1960s.

Here's the story - https://www.literotica.com/s/beach-rescue

Requiescat in pace... Ogg was interesting and kind. I'm glad he's no longer dealing with the misadventures of a terminal illness. But I admired his grace and presence of mind in how he dealt with it all.

I’m new here and didn’t know Ogg. I read some responses of his and instantly could tell he was one of the wise old owls residing in this mix of sexual energy called Lit.

Please, for those in the know, pass along my sincere condolences to his family. I’ve lost too many to cancer and know and feel their pain.

RIP Ogg.

Indeed, R.I.P. Ogg!

Another great one bites the dust.

I feel old...

Read his stuff for years prior to joining here. Wonderful story teller. Very sad news indeed.

So very sorry to hear this. He was a great writer and a principled human being. He will be remembered for his courage in his battle with cancer, as well as his stories. RIP, Ogg.

Rest in peace, Ogg. May your voice and characters live on for generations to come.

Sad to hear the news. Although I haven't been here for long, I will still miss his musings and writings.

RIP Ogg
