To refresh a memory that is apparently as senile as your observational skills.

Your opposition of me as moderator is not the problem.

The problem is that in so doing, you assassinated my character in one of the worst possible ways. I am not and never have been after power in this forum. You insinuated that the only reason I'm pressing for change is because it would make me a moderator. You couldn't see your way to disabuse my notions, so that's that. Whatever charity or respect I ever had for you was pretty much removed. Your face-saving and utterly cowardly attempt to apologize for a public attack on my character in private merely removed whatever respect I might have had.

Additionally, you go so far as to lie to my face in public no less, claiming this vaunted respect for me as a moderator. If you had even the slightest ounce of respect for me in any way you would never have made such an insulting and offensive attack on my character.


I will not accept PMed apologies or explanations from you. There is nothing quite like the coward who feels perfectly free to slap people in public and then say they're sorry for offending in private where no one has to bear witness to such a disagreeable thing. There is neither honesty nor integrity in such blatant disregard for character, yours or mine.

If you have any interest in my good graces--which I sincerely doubt I will ever believe you would considering that you already think of me as a powermonger--then you will act like you have some integrity and quit skulking about in PMs like a little sewer rat.

Here is the text of the PM since you want it in public:

"Chicklet thinks that the exchange between us on the "Incest" thread is "nasty".

If I have offended, I apologise.

We have different views on whether the Author's Hangout should change. We probably agree on more things than that single disagreement.

Whether the Author's Hangout is changed or not I will continue to frequent it, obeying whatever rules (if any) are agreed by the majority.

I hope that I have not upset you. That was never my intention, nor did I mean to attack you personally, only or put the argument for the status quo.
