A Christmas Story. Written by Jean Shepard, its a nostalgic view of Christmas taking place in Indiana during the 1940s. Its about little 9 year old Ralphie, who desperately wants a Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas who wages an all-out campaign to convince his parents that the toy will be safe in his hands.

Ralphie prepares for the big day with his rather strange family. His brother has a strange relationship with food, and his dad is obsessed with a crossword puzzle contest. But the most important question of all is...when Christmas Day arrives, will Ralphie get his Red Ryder BB Gun?

Remember the part where Ralphie is dared to touch his tongue on a Flag Pole? One of my favorites.

Oh MM, I knew you were the perfect man! Monty Python and A Christmas Story too, does it get any better? I love when Ralphie says that his father used cuss words the way other artists used oil paints or clay as mediums. I won't even start on soap poisoning him and making him go blind!
