This thread is the next iteration of Off Course (Sci-Fi gone wrong), which chronicled the events aboard the United Earth Ship Casus, which left earth over 1000 years ago on a voyage to create a new colony. The ship was damaged my an uncharted meteor along the way, while its passengers and crew slept in stasis.

One crew member turned out to be a android, who thought it was human, but actually under the programming of it’s creators, who have once again found the ship, and what remains of it’s people. The Casus was being brought down to the surface, where all the humans would be enslaved by the aliens for the purposes of breeding. Their own race having been horribly reduced in a war which has gone for thousands upon thousands of years.

But the ship’s systems failed further, causing a crash, and now lies in the deep forests of this Strange New World, along with what few humans survived all the misfortunes.

NOTE: all writers from the previous thread are welcome to resume their characters here, and/or create new ones. We as that all new interested players speak up in the OOC thread found here:

The last action post of the previous thread

Richard sat in his chair, strapped in and bleeding, observing nothing more then the light show just outside the main window. Entering an atmosphere generated enormous amounts of heat and turbulence – but also, and seldom admired, an array of beautiful yellows, oranges and reds seemed to wash over the ship in a bath of liquid fire. The woman criminal had come back, and since she started talking and took a seat, he assumed it was without any supplies for him.

People were chatting around him, but his ears didn’t really process anything that was being said, it was only noise to him now.

The fire outside began to dissipate, and Richard was almost sad, but the flames gave way to blue skies, followed by a trip through clouds. Far down below small silvery dots littered the surface of this world, like coins scattered across the ground. It never registered how large those would be if he could see them at all from this distance, and the nest time he would see them at all would be rather close, as consciousness failed finally failed him completely.

Whatever was guiding the small ruminant of the once huge U.E.S Casus must have faltered, or not anticipated the very real damage of the craft, as they began to increase speed at a steep angle toward the planets surface. John spun to his controls trying ti level them out, but was only partially successful. Still the craft plummeted toward the ground, over flying its intended landing zone.

The Casus flattened out a bit in the thicker atmosphere, but John’s efforts did nto make the landing smooth. They struck a hill top, which sent the hulk of metal spinning in every conceivable direction, as it skipped of the rock. The next impact came seconds later, which slowed them further, but still not enough for the ground to firmly grab hold.

The ship finally touched down, and rolled along through the dense forest for well over 500 feet before finally smashing into a rock that would not yield. Once finally at rest the batter tin can was on it’s side, and reducing in mass by 30% from al the debris it had left along its path.

A new pain woke Richard from his previous state of being passed out. This one also on his shot arm, but lower. Looking down he noticed that his elbow was bent in a rather unnatural direction. Taking in his smoke filled surrounding he found that he was still strapped in his seat, but that seat had moved considerably, and was now pressed to the starboard wall. He noticed he was pinned by another chair, and large consol that was probably responsible for sheering both chairs from their bolts.

Unclipping himself, and struggling to move he went to help his neighbor, remembering it was likely Chris. It was. Only no help could be offered, and a tear escaped him when he saw her chest impaled by a large conduit, full of the cabling they had been pulling together earlier, sparks still dancing at their ends, her blood cooking on it’s edges.

He turned and puked, then fell over, yelling for help for himself. He was in no condition to attempt any more rescues.

Slicer had been thrown around in the cargobay as the once great ship had gauged it's way to a stop through the alien landscape outside. Now sporting several bruises, and more then a few superficial cuts, he scrabled up the now slightly slanted floor to some storage lockers located on the far wall. He didn't think there would be an awful lot in them, but he tore the doors off each one anyway to examine the contents.

There really was very little there. Come vaccum packed clothing, a few rations, a torch, and as luck would have it a pack of pain suppressants. Probably someone's personal supply.

Not wasting any time, Slicer scrambled out of the cargobay and rushed on his way to the medical facilities. If his luck held out there would be a good amount of stuff he could obtain before enyone else could get their grubby little hands on them

Jennifer

Jennifer’s screams died as the ship slammed to and fro. Her head met metal and she found herself clutching it when she eventually awoke. “Oh fuck,” she muttered and brought her hands away from her head, blood pooled out and she wondered what the Hell had gone wrong. She opened her eyes, closed them again and tried to block out the images of twisted metal and spatters of blood decorating the world around her.

Her eyes rolled back and she almost gave into the welcoming abyss of darkness that threatened to consume her. She didn’t though. Jennifer heard something. A whimper. A cry. A plea for help. Her fingers were cut, but she managed to free herself from her seat, glad it had been on the less damaged side of the ship and was still bolted down. “Damn cheap contractors,” she hissed as pain ripped through her torn fingers.

She fell to her knees and crawled to the voice calling for help. She managed to pull herself up and took a deep breath. Immediately she wished she hadn’t. The smell of vomit was potent as well as burnt flesh and blood. She blinked several times, her eyes finally focused on what was in front of her and she too felt as if she were going to throw up. She didn’t. She fought the urge and reached down, closing the glazed over eyes of Chris. Biting her lower lip, she slipped down to touch Richard.

“Hey,” she squeezed his shoulder. “Richard. . .are you hurt anywhere else, besides. . .”

She stopped. The gun. John. Tyler. The guns. Jennifer spun around and her eyes looked for both convicts. She didn’t see Tyler, but what she saw made her body cringe in disbelief. The “person” inside her told her she was losing it. The “logic” inside her told her she was seeing technology at its best. She stepped away from Richard and over to the figure of John that lay unmoving in his chair. His head. . .or what she would call a head, lay open and exposed. The “brain” was sparking and glittering in the bloods of Chris that lay splattered all over the android. “Oh fuck,” she muttered.

A whimper sounded out and she recognized it immediately. “Chow? Chowder?” she called out. The whimper grew louder and she stumbled toward it. Her Great Dane still lived and she felt her whole world shift. “Thank God,” she whispered. She fell to her knees circled his neck and then felt the warm blood coming from a wound by his ear. She examined him quickly and noticed a bent leg. “Stay boy.” She knew he’d try to limp toward her, but now he had to wait.

She went back to Richard and knelt beside him. “Let me look at you,” she told him. She wondered if Tyler was buried in the rubble alive. . .or dead. Right now, Jennifer wasn’t sure what she wanted. She didn’t want the woman dead though, the idea of being on a foreign planet with only one other human, a dog, and only God knows what else, didn’t sit well with her.

Tyler groaned softly as she came to her senses. For a moment she couldn't remember who or where she was but it soon all came rushing back to her and she groaned once more. They'd crashed. How the hell had they crashed! Something John hadn't anticipated must have been wrong with the ship because she knew him to be a better pilot than that.

Taking inventory of herself she closed her eyes and just let herself be aware of her body. She felt banged about and knew she would be bruised to hell but there was nothing that screamed in pain so she doubted she'd broken anything and she didn't feel any large damp places against her clothing she she doubted she had more than minor cuts. Shifting slightly she gasped and ammended her assessment, at least one of her ribs was severely bruised and possibly broken.

Opening her eyes she saw that a console had fallen over her but it had hit something else that kept it from actually landing on her for which she was grateful. The damned thing looked heavy and would likely have killed her if it had, as it was it probably shielded her from the worst of the damage.

Starting to squirm back out into the open she grumbled softly to herself when she recognized the doctors voice, “Richard. . .are you hurt anywhere else, besides. . .”

Tyler heard her talking to her dog and Richard but she didn't bother piping up until she'd managed to crawl out of rubble. Looking around she nearly screamed at the sight of John's head split wide and all the circuitry revealed there.

"What the fuck! An android, these bastards can build an android THAT freaking human. We need to get out of here before they show up or we are seriously screwed," she said more to herself than to the doctor though she knew the doctor would hear her.

The doctor who at one time, so very, very long ago, he thought nothing more of then a professional with the best looking ass, was not looking over his battered body, and he was forever grateful it was her hands, and knowledge that now inspected his condition. Even more, he was grateful those hands were human.

Richard coughed, the smoke and stench assaulting his lungs. “Yeah, I broke the hell of of my shot arm, but other then that, I feel like crap.”

He heard the Doc find her dog, and then the lady criminal ranting about something – the specifics of which he was still to groggy to pick up. It might have had something to do about an android, but that was silly.

The way he felt, he wasn’t overly concerned that Tyler or John – who’s vice he didn’t hear – shot him in the back, and he crawled, pathetically, towards what he was pretty sure was a door way.

“Fuck this place, I’m jumping ship.” He struggled to laugh, but learned that something very sharp stabbed deep down in his chest, shutting him up quickly. He moved a few pieces of debris from the, which was actually his ‘floor’ at the angle the ship lay at. Opening the doors he saw a long, jagged metal obstructed path to the ground below.

“Hey uh…I think we’re gonna have to climb dow…..ahhhh!”

The ship’s sudden movement cut off his observation, as it settled further into its new rock home. Luckily for Richard this reduced the distance to the ground. Unluckily for Richard, it knocked him off balance, and he tumbled to that ground below, hitting a few uncomfortable metal protrusions along the way.

His head spun, and he couldn’t focus his eyes on anything. He was pretty sure he landed face up, and rolled over…or was it the other way around? Well, he had a few new challenges for the doctor to look at he mused silently, before coughing up his own blood.

“I should have stayed home….”

Slicer finished raiding the medical bay. He had managed to stuff all kinds of assorted medical drugs and equipment into his pockets. He had no idea what most of it was supposed to do, but he didn't really care. Plus, it would be fun finding out!

Moving out of the medical bay, he was having some difficulty recalling where everything was. The ship was on it's side, so every left or right turn had become an up or down. He stopped as he remembered the people still in the cockpit. If this was indeed an already populated alien world, then he'd need all the bodies he could find as diversions.

Running as fast as he could along walls that had now become the floor to the cockpit, he was forced to scale the wall of the cockpit to get to a useable door - the way down looked quite badly mangled. Grunting at the effort, Slicer managed to get himself up onto a fairly level surface and crawl along to the closed door. There was a gap between the door and the frame where it had been jarred open slightly by the crash. With a grunt, he forced his metal talons through the opening. Surely someone on the other side would notice, but he didn't much care. He needed bodies to distract the aliens, and maybe even for food if the situation got too desperate.

Giving a heave, the door made a loud grinding sound as umpowered gears strained against the steel slab's movement. However, move it did, and it wasn't long before everyone who was looking could see Slicer's grin - minus a couple of teeth.

"Ello all."

Gracesaadi followed the others quietly toward the ship, one humanoid had already fallen out, how many more were there. John was supposed to bring back many, his programming had been perfect so far, she wasn’t sure what had gone wrong, no one did. She crept quietly toward the fallen human and when she reached him, she placed her hand on his shoulder.

“Say nothing,”
she told him.

Two more warriors flanked her side and she pulled the man back with her while the others quietly stalked the ship.

“Careful,” she warned them. “This one was obviously injured, so he was thrown away. We will heal him.” She turned the injured male over to another and headed back for more. Her eyes flicked brightly back and forth. The ship was huge. She knew there would be many for her to chose from.

She would have a child in her arms within ten months and her and her mate would be parents. It was what she wanted most of all. The thick foliage lay in tangles and wreckage was wrapped around huge trees. She plucked a leaf from a plant and began to chew on it, it helped still the nervousness that was building inside her.

Gracesaadi trembled as she thought of finally holding her future in her hands. She hoped for a willing human, but the Wise ones would have the juice that could be given to force a human to desire sex whether they wanted it or not.

Jennifer watched Richard fall out of the ship and she was rushing toward the door when the other one opened and clawed fingers slipped in. She watched in what was disbelief and horror as the man emerged. . .or the thing emerged.

She looked to Tyler and something confirmed that this was indeed the thing that the thief had spoken about earlier. Jennifer’s stomach pitched in disgust and she looked around for some kind of weapon. The gun was no where near her, but she wasn’t going to die with this monstrosity helping her in her plight between an alien race and from what Tyler had said. . .being eaten alive.

She reached out and grabbed a large metal pipe. She knew it wasn’t much, but it was something. It could give her and Tyler a few seconds. Right now Tyler was all she had to worry about and she wasn’t to sure the thief would care. She looked to Chowder and her heart hurt. She wanted him with her. There was no way he wasn’t going to make it through this and then become dog food, she’d take the creature apart limb by limb if he took her dog as his next meal. “Chow, come.”

She then looked at “it” and spoke in a shaky voice. “I don’t know who or what you are. But as you can guess we crashed. We are about to be caught by a race that was going to breed with us . . . seems we were bought and paid for breeders and workers. I suggest if you don’t want to die, you work with us. . .not against us. . .”

She looked at her dog then the man. “Leave my dog alone,” she growled out. Chowder limped to her side and growled right along side his Mistress as Jennifer dropped from the ship.

Seeing the female Human drop from the ship with her quadreped companion and take up a defensive stance made Tola wonder if what he was doing was really a good idea. He knew that his race needed breeding partners urgently, and if they did not the consequences would be dire. But did they really to, in essence, kidnap some Humans for such a thing? As his mind argued with itself, Tola tried to make himself a little less threatening by relaxing his body and lowering his weapon a bit. The last thing he needed was to fight this female and then be charged with "mishandling the merchandise" as some would put it.

Wanting to tell her to calm down, Tola motioned for he to put the pipe down. As he did so, he took small steps toward her slowly. As he ever so slowly closed the gap between them, he started to notice things about her. Aside from not having a horn, she was not that much different from him. If she was cleaned up, she could look down right gorgeous. Even the look of determination and fear in her eyes was appealing in some way.

After walking forward a few feet, he stopped. Taking a quick glance over his shoulder, he wanted to see how the others were doing.

Slicer nodded at the woman. It made sense to try and stay alive in this alien world. Of course, her comment about not eating the dog, well, needs must in dire situations!

With her dog, the woman had dropped out of the ruined craft and, shortly after, Slicer had dropped into the cockpit, There sure was alot of blood around, but what took his attention most was the humanoid robot thing that was probably once the pilot! Scrabbling around, he tried to free the machine, but it was no good. So, instead, he moved to the open hole. And what a good job he did! One of the locals had found the ship and was advancing on the woman and her dog! Didn't matter that it wasn't in a particularly threatening way.

Timing it perfectly, Slicer dropped out of the ship behind the alien, and swiftly braght his claw up to it's neck. "Well well. Lookie here. Got me a real live E.T"

Graceaadi's eyes grew wide, the silver gray sparkled with a mixture of disbelief and curiosity. The creature looked human and spoke human, yet he was not fully human. She was amazed that the earthlings that John had brought back had allowed one such as this to live due to his imperfections, but she had learned a lot about humans, and she wondered if perhaps this was just another experiment, gone wrong. Even the Davamos had those. . .she shivered as she thought of the stories of failed “Johns” that lie in piles in the pits of Dark Gale.

The creature advanced on her clansman and she watched until she was sure the being had forgotten to beaware of others. Did he think there were only one of them? Was his intelligence limited due to the metal that graced his form? She found herself interested in the primitive technology and she knew her father would want to see this new being.

She slipped in behind the strange one and raised her weapon. “I do not know this ET that you speak of, but I will tell you that your deformities will not save you. You need to drop to your knees and extend your arms out for my companion to clasp the bracelets on your wrists.”
“If you do not, I will not hesitate to shoot you, neither will the others that are watching us,” she rose a hand and several others showed themselves. “Now. . . on your knees or die it is your choice there are no other options. I will keep my companion covered, while he bracelets you. When you feel them close do not panic, they are designed to read your life sign, but they also will keep you from using your hands. I believe you humans call them cuffs?”

She looked to Tola. “I have you covered my friend. You may subdue him and then the woman.” Graceaadi waited to see if the human with the cybernetic eye and arm would cooperate, or if he would die like some of the others that had surly perished in the crash. She had no qualms about shooting him. To her he was deformed and no good for breeding. "This weapon. . .do not try to conquer it or me. You have not the skill to do so. It will melt you where you stand." The light from the planets sun glistened on the silver and gold weapon, Graceaadi's finger rested with ease and patience as she eyed the man/android in front of her.

Jennifer had no sooner dropped from the ship, turned around and there was one of the “buyers” that John had spoken about. The pipe was still in her hand and she had been about to drop it when the thing from inside the ship followed behind her. She thought of Tyler and hoped that Tyler would come out and surprise the cybernetic freak. When she didn't Jennifer didn't panic. She would get away from the horned being in front of her and then she would find a way to free herself from the clawed being. That planned died when a female horned one stepped into the playing field.

Jennifer would have laughed if it wasn't so serious. They were like dominos. She was facing one. One was facing her. Someone was behind that one and another behind that one. It was almost comical, unless you were one of the participants. She wasn't about to release that pipe unless she was forced to.

The female told the male to “cuff” the other and Jennifer waited to see what was going to happen next. When she mentioned the cuffs were designed to read life signs Jennifer was intrigued. She wondered how the device worked and she took a step closer wanting to see these marvelous tools. The scientist side of her was amazed at the technology the race had and now as she studied them she wanted to see how similar they were to humans.

The two had horns just like the man on the screen that had talked to John, but the females was shorter. Both looked as if they were sharp at the tip, but she wasn't sure and she would have like to have touched one to see if it were indeed sharp or dull.

Suddenly like a light bulb it dawned on her that Richard was no where to be found. “Wait, where's Richard?” Jennifer turned around and looked over the foliage of the planet. She looked down to her dog and wondered if she could send him to find the other man, but she had no clue if these beings would eat Chowder or not. So she kept her canine companion by her side.

"Well well. Lookie here. Got me a real live E.T"

Tola thought he had only to deal with what was in front of him. Turns out he now had more to deal with behind him. For no sooner had he started to crane his head to the side to see behind himself, some flesh and metal monstrosity fell out of nowhere and raised a gleaming claw to his jugular. Scared? A tiny bit. But Tola was more angry with himself and this freak more so than frightened. For the sake of his life, though, he kept still and stoic.

“I do not know this ET that you speak of, but I will tell you that your deformities will not save you..."

The familiar voice of the woman who had come along made Tola relieved. At least now he knew his squadmates were still there, and had the situation in control now. He waited as Graceaadi spoke to his, for the time being, captor. But as soon as she finished off her last word, Tola took the chance to reverse the situation without waiting for a reply from the metal-man.

Making a quick and powerful blow to the metal-man's gut with his elbow, and grabbing his claw with the other hand, Tola generated enough momentum and force to throw the man over his shoulder. As he tumped onto the groud, Tola positioned himself above the man, with one foot firmly planted on the wrist of his metal arm.

"Will you come peacefully? Or shall I knock you out and drag you back?"

Tola, too, figured that this man would be deemed not worth breeding with. His artificial parts were obvious signs of that. While he held the man down, the female suddenly became excited about something.

“Wait, where's Richard?”

Slicer had been taken by supprise himself. From being in a position of superiority, he was now on his back, pinned to the floor and slightly dazed. The alien man standing over him had made some sort of threat about being taken away unconcious if he didn't comply.

Slicer snarled and roled his body into the alien man's leg, causing it to bend, bafore pulling his arm free. Quickly reversing the roll, he scrambled back up to his feet and stood ready for a fight. Although, now looking at the numbers, the fight wouldn't last very long. What choices did he have? Quickly he ran through the options in his mind.

1) surrender. Not exactly the sort of thing he does alot. He'd get trussed up, and lugged off to wherever it was these.... things lived for who knows what purpose.

2) take a hostage. Done that, kinda failed. Miserably

3) decoy. Grab the girl, use her as a decoy to draw attention, and run. Chances of success? Slim. That damn dog of hers would probably have a go at him.

4) run. Plain and simple. Get the hell out of there and hope for the best. He had plenty of medical stuff un him to relieve any pain and stuff, and he could probably find food.

Ok. Option 4 sounded the best. "Eat it aliens scum" Slicer swiped with his claw, hoping to his the male alien but not really caring if he didn't, turned, and sprinted off into the woods

Still inside the ship Tyler growled softly. Damn the doc and her dog! If she'd waited they might have managed to get out of this together. Not that the idea of being paired up with Jennifer was one she found appealing but it was better than being alone and certainly better than being with that fucking lunatic that had jumped out after her.

Looking around Tyyler searched desperatly for another way off the bridge and realized they were all blocked. Her only way out was through the hole Jennifer had gone through. Growling again she searched once more until she found the gun that John had used. Checking herself she was reassured that her knives were still in place as well before she lept deftly out of the ship.

She landed hard but rolled easily and came up in a fighting crouch beside Jennifer who she yanked back before the stupid twit could get herself slammed into a pair of the aliens cuffs.

"Are you stupid!" she hissed at Jennifer before turning her full attention to the aliens. The gun was aimed almost effortlessly and they stood close enough to each other that she could squeeze off the rounds she needed to before they could reach them.

"I don't know who you people are or how you obviously built John and I don't particularly care. John's inside, the crash ripped half his head off you fucking bastards. I don't take losing friends well and I consider his loss your goddamned fault so I'd stay back. You programmed him to kill well but I'm better, even he acknowledged that.

Leave us the hell alone and I'll leave you alone, come near either of us...or the damned dog, and I won't hesitate to kill you. If you don't believe me search what's left of John's memory banks."

Glaring at Jennifer she pushed the other woman toward the woods while keeping her eyes on the aliens before her.

Jennifer/Tyler

Jennifer would have slapped the woman, but she had a point, she wasn’t acting to smart, wanting to get to see their technology. She bit down the retort that she would have delivered and decided that being held at gun point by the aliens was something she didn’t want, so being behind Tyler who had the semi-automatic was the best route to take.

She then was shocked to see the cybernetic creature fight his way up from underneath the unicorn man and she was stunned to see run toward the woods. “Tyler I don’t know what you have planned,” she hissed under her breath. “But we aren’t following that either!” Jennifer shivered in fear. She wasn’t sure what the horned people ate, but according to Tyler, the thing ate people and for some reason that didn’t sit well with her.

Jennifer started to back up also and when she did she scanned the trees and bushes for any signs of Richard. She was worried about him. She needed to tend to his wounds, before they got worse. She was also scared that he’d been captured already and since she saw no signs of him, or heard anything of him, he was concerned he’d been killed. She prayed not, she really hated the idea of being stuck alone with Rambo chick. She thought of the old movies in the library back on Earth and found herself wishing she could just go back home, accept the loss of her job and be one with the world around her.

“Come Chowder,” she muttered. Her dog lifted its head and limped along with her. He would need care soon, she thought to herself. She hoped she could find what she needed in these woods. She’d hate to lose her dog.

Graceaadi watched in horror and disbelief as her friend Tola was pushed away and clawed at by the creature. The others had quickly appeared and she still had her weapon raised. He shouted at them and headed toward the woods. It wasn’t very far though. All ready the others had surrounded him and were firing the chain mail links that were shot out of their weapons. They had stayed with the primitive material of the old days, because it did less harm to the humans then the small pellets of heat that were sometimes used to stop them in their tracks.

The nets were shot out one after the other and they fell over the man and the hard clinks were heard throughout the forest. She watched them for a moment and looked to Tola, she was sure he was unharmed and she left him to deal with the women. Her eyes remained on the cyber one and she pressed her gun against his body which she knew was weakened by the chain mail that covered him. The metal held strong and she glared down on him. “You are a stubborn one, but you can not get free, you do understand this don’t you?”
She eyed him, her fear hidden behind her eyes of gray. Her horn was glowing brightly as she tried to communicate with the being.

She entered his mind and tried to mentally tell him she meant him no harm and wished to not harm him. She even told him that they could “fix” him if they desired. Give him limbs that more resembled those of humans. She hoped he would listen.

He looked to be a strong man and if he was then his strong blood would aide in the growth of their people. Since she probed his mind she was able to see that he’d not always been a cybernetic creature, but had in fact been completely human.

The words of the woman reached her and she recalled the first human they had taken. She locked the name away, thankful she know knew the harmed ones name. She knew her companions were watching him, quite possibly already moving him back to their hover ships to take him back to the city. Right now she had to focus on the one in front of her.

“The cuffs do not hurt, I promise you. They just read your life signs. Please, do not struggle under the weight of the chains. You are strong, but no one but our androids can lift the weight of four of these. You are caught Sir, please accept it.” She spoke these words outloud, hoping the women would understand their fate if they continued to try and flee.

"What are y-"

It was too late, the mechanical one yanked his faux arm out from under Tola's foot, putting him off balance for a moment. This half-being seemed more than eager to try and escape the capture team. But as he ran off towards the woods for an all-too-short run, Tola knew his comrades had that covered. His assumption was proved right when he heard the clink of the non-lethal ammunition that was shot from their weapons.

Facing back towards the now two females and pet, he wondered how he was going to deal with them now. The first one had not posed much of a threat; an easy and possibly orderly catch. But this second female was more, shall we say, fiesty. She brandished a weapon, a primitive-looking one at that, and aimed it right at him. Today just was not his day. Seeing as how force, no matter how much or less sublte, would not work, Tola decided to use a more indirect approach.

Changing his stance from offensive to passive, Tola looked both of them straight in the eye and concentrated on communicating with them mentally. It was an easy task, the recent stresses on them had weakened their reasoning and will. He implanted feelings and images that conveyed his thoughts to them. They would not be harmed if they cooperated. The weapons were only a fall-back measure for ones such as the mechanical one. Please come along with peacefully. He also remembered to throw in something about how it was him who was implanting these things in their minds.

"Please, do as we ask."

Huh. Plan 4 didn't go as well as exprcted. Slicer was now on the floor, with four heavy metal nets pinning him down! Not do mention all those chain link thingies they had hit him with! He was trapped, and he didn't like it one bit.

Words started to form inside his head, words that sounded like the voice of the female alien. They were words of peace and calming. In spite of himself, Slicer felt himself relax sligly. Then she mentioned fixing him. Fixing? FIXING?!? She would undo what he had done to himself for good reason! Rage started to boil up inside Slicer. Rage that was focussed at the alien woman and her lack of understanding of his state!

Slicer howled in fury as he tried to stand, his muscles working overtime to lift his severely weighed down body. In a desperate attempt to free himself, he started to claw at the chains, hoping that his metal arm may just be enough to break them.

They would not be harmed if they cooperated. The weapons were only a fall-back measure for ones such as the mechanical one. Please come along with peacefully.

Growling low and deep in her throat Tyler glared at the male alien and gave a decided toss of her head.

"Stay the fuck out of my head!" she hissed sharply and shifted the aim of her gun from his general torso upward to a dead on shot at the middle of his forhead, she might not like guns but she wouldn't miss either.

Keeping her attention on the male alien facing them she continued to back up toward the woods and noted that the psycho from the ship had been captured. That was a fact that gave her some sense of satisfaction as she hadn't liked the idea of his roaming around the woods with them.

"I consider being taken as a slave to very much be a form of harm buddy so I'd just stay back and let me and my partner here get away."

The invasion of her mind had been a shock and she felt violated, raped almost. She too was angry and when Tyler aimed the gun higher she found herself wanting nothing more then to have the woman fire the weapon. She had no way of protecting herself. It was scary. How did one keep another from reading their thoughts? Even now she could tell he was studying them. Could they read multiple thoughts? Could he read Tyler at the same time as reading herself? Jennifer no longer cared about Science or Technology, she only cared about freedom. How could other humans desire to live with these beings? They had no privacy.

She held on to Tyler and they backed up together. “Just keep that thing aimed at him and I’ll lead you back.”

Jennifer looked to her left and right and saw the cyber freak was caught and though it looked like he may escape she found herself not worried. There were so many weapons trained on him, she knew that if he managed to free himself, he probably be shot.

“Careful, step high here,” she told Tyler as they continued moving. “I don’t see Richard,” she hissed.

Chowder followed and though his limp pained him Jennifer could see his fur rising and falling as he breathed hard. She knew he needed help and it pained her to not beable to provide for him, but she was not an idiot and so she allowed her dog to try and care for himself as she led Tyler further into the forest.

“I think we are far enough, to run,” she told her newest companion. “The woods is thicker off to the left and looks very dense. Where the fuck are the humans that don’t like living on this horned infested planet?” she muttered. “We could use some about now!”

The cyber creature began to claw at the metal links and Graceaadi cringed. She took a smaller weapon out and aimed it at the man’s neck. She fired two shots and the darts imbedded themselves in the man’s flesh. “I’m sorry,” she whispered as well as set him a warming thought.

As the drug began to take effect she spoke quietly to him, using the link she’d used earlier. “Please remain calm. It is only going to work faster the more agitated you become. I will not let them harm you. I will tell them you desire to remain as you are now. Please. . . just rest. It will be over soon.”

She watched the man, wondering why he’d done what he did to his body. The links of chain rattled as he struggled with the weight of the age old weapon and now the sleeping drug that was coursing throughout his system.

Graceaadi looked around and saw the two women fleeing. “Tola,” she mentally called to him. “They are perfect specimens. You can not let them escape. I will remain here and secure this being as well as the other. Go after them if you must. They will bring us many fine young ones for our people.”

Her thoughts went back to the cyber one and she waited for the drugs to pour into his system.

She held on to Tyler and they backed up together. “Just keep that thing aimed at him and I’ll lead you back.”

Tyler had to admit she was glad to have the doctor on her side. Well to herself anyway, she knew she would grudgingly admit it to the doctor later as well but for not she kept her attention focused on the alien in front of her and simply stepped where and how Jennifer directed. She could tell from the other womans tone of voice that the idea of captivity didn't sit well with her either and, for now anyway, they were partners in this.

The further she backed up the more focused she became. She felt the same calm she always had back home when a hunt was finished and it was nearly time for the kill, everything was as clear as crystal and it was as if her senses expanded at the same time. Her peripheral vision widened slightly and she could see the female alien eyeing them as well. From the intent look on her face Tyler suspected she was communicating to the male in the same way the male had entered their own minds.

Damned if she was going to go as a docile little pet to these people! John had already told them that they were meant to be nothing more than slaves and breeders and without him there to protect her she was going to get lumped into that lot as well!

"Take a single step near us buddy and this bullet will go right through your brain, I'm a crack shot," she threatened when she even suspected that he might move toward them.

“I think we are far enough, to run,” she told her newest companion. “The woods is thicker off to the left and looks very dense. Where the fuck are the humans that don’t like living on this horned infested planet?” she muttered. “We could use some about now!”

"Hiding no doubt. Be ready to run on my mark," she muttered knowing there was no way Jennifer would miss what she intended, "And when you run, RUN damnit, don't let anything, me or the dog included slow you down because if you plan to you may as well just stay here and go with them," she added in a low growl.

Without another word she shifted slightly and her aim dropped once more just as the gun flared to life in her hands. A single shot rang through the air and dug into the ground half an inch in front of the male alien's feet. Seeing the startled look on his face she turned and tore off into the densest part of the forest. She heard Jennifer and the dog following and cursed silently. The dog was hurt and as such was going to be easy to follow which would be a liability.

Slicer thrashed and stuggled against the link nets that held him down. He was acting almost like a caged wild animal, but his struggles were lessening. Twin darts had hit his neck a few seconds earlier, and now everything seemed to be getting heavier. He found he hardly had the strength left to tear at the nets, and the effort of using his mechanical arm was becoming more and more of a strain.

The alien woman was talking in his mind again, trying to calm Slicer down. Her half-formed words floated through his mind as the drugs took full effect and even the effort of thinking coherantly started to become too much for him. Spots started to appear in front of his one good eye, as the image from his mechanical eye started to break up.

With a final grunt of desperation, Slicer collapsed and darkness enveloped his world
