I noticed a few stories that seem to have more than 4 threads as a continuation. How does that happen? I thought it capped at 4.

As I once heard on TV ("Family Matters"... I'll admit it), & I use all the time, "Don't question; Just be thankful."

Better that than stories that have dead threads/none at all.

That thread doesn't say anything about how to do it.

What you do is as follows:

(1) Go to the page you want to add a thread beyond 4 to.
(2) Note the page number in the URL. Copy it to your clipboard.
(3) Go to a page that had an "Add Thread" button. Push the button.
(4) Edit the URL of the "Add Thread" page to the page number you've saved in your clipboard.
(5) Hit the "Carriage Return".
(6) Type your page into the web form.
(7) Hit "Submit Thread".
(8) It's done.

I did a test of this, then I deleted the added thread, and now my story is gone. I'll try to rebuild it, but now that chyoo.net looks dead, I may not be able to recover it all.

Which story disappeared? I noticed my thread count went down and it must have been the threads that were on that story. Tell me it's not mail room guy!!

I'll try to rebuild what I can, but it will take awhile.

I have the three or four threads that I wrote when you want them.

Excellent. I'll let you know. I need to dig up a CD-ROM to get the old threads of mine.

Some of the cases of more than four options are due to the Chyoo 1 changeover a lot of deleted threads reappeared.
