Of mice and porn sites...

Several times in the past few weeks I've perused a thread and noticed a peculiar phrase that has popped up several times, to wit, "...this is just a porn site..."

I did find this place by cruising through links from another porn site. Literotica apparently took over it's stories section, which is not a bad thing in my mind.

Someone, I just don't think of this place as a porn site. The words "porn site" conjure up images of lengthy and hard to remove pop ups, cheesy pictures of naked people, and a request for credit card payment to open you up to "the hardest porn anywhere" . When I think porn site, I think of furitive masturbation and cold pictures of bored models doped up and fucking for the money.

Literotica, is well, somehow different to my mind. It seems more of the eroticism of sex rather than tab A into slot B fucking. It's about people and the fantasies that make them sexual. It's lusty, erotic, naughty, sweet, and sometimes dirty. It's human.

Pornography is just too generic a word I think, it covers everything from the basest sexual perversions man could be capable of doing, to an artistic erotic photo of a person who just happens to be naked. Porn has the connotation of the seamy underbelly of pornography, something that should not be brought into the light of day. Something to be ashamed of.

There is something inherently sexually healty about this site.

Just running off at the mouth again. I didn't even have a run on sentence this time either. Durn it, I'll have to work harder next time.

Well, calling it a porn site attracts mo visitors, who click on more banners, which keeps this site free so that the regulars are *free* to continue thinking of it as an intellectually stimulating, physically arousing playground.

And this site is not "just" anything. It's special!

i would have to agree with you. literotica is ever so much more than just a "porn site".
after all, good erotica is hard to find, and hard erotica is good to find.

No seriously i mean when i tell people about this place they are all like you spend all your time at a porn site but its different(try explaining that to your daddy) Its not like im sitting here looking at hardcore naked pics of people i come here to read some very erotic stories (which are very good i might add) and for some intellectual conversation about everything yes sometimes there is sex and sometimes we play around but we are always here for anyone who needs advice or help as well!!

Personally I have never thought of this as a porn site. But as a imformative site. I have learned lot of things and had alot of fun being here. When I tell my friends about it they kind of look at me funny and then they come here and they love it also.
If people think it is a porn site well so be it. Everyone views things in thier own way.

I think of it as an Erotica site, myself. I don't see pictures of woman trussed up in rediculas looking outfits, I don't see men with 15" cocks, and balls the size of baseballs. (though quiet a few stories DO say something similiar) To me, it's erotica, plain and simple.

This is much more entertaining than any Porn site i have ever been to. The people I talk to are real, and interesting for the most part. There is more to this site than just the Stories, or the Pictures, or even the Bulletin Board and Chat area...there are wonderful, witty, intelligent people who discuss matters from the mundane everyday things in their lives to current events, and yes, erotica..I love this site!
