Orturo's Hollow

The town was an ancient town. Once grand and beautiful, serving a vital purpose to the surrounding farms and smaller communities as it sat located on the banks of a mighty river and the only passage through a great set of mountians that hovered in the horizon.

It boasted roadways paved with cobblestone, buildings formed carefully from the rivers red clay into intricate brick, as well as hallowed ground in the form of a church that stood three stories tall and boasted a massive pavillion and expensive grand hall.

But like all things, time stands still for only the gifted and chosen few, and slowly time passed and then almost entirely forgot the quiet, sleepy town...

Until the beasts quietly moved in... And quietly took over...

Orturo's Hollow became a neutral ground, a place where Vampyre and Lycantrope made the rare agreement to meet and vent thier differences without bloodshed, making the tiny town once again....a vital crossroads.

****** ****** ******

The setting is present day, the technology that exists in our world exists as well in this reality...though slightly altered by the presence of the beasts that prefer to walk in the dark of the night...

As does Tyrell Winn, a Lycanthrope known by his followers as "Ulfric" or Wolf King, a half man-half who is working hard at finding his own hidden past while cementing a future for his own growing clan...

A Clan that has, in part, grown so rapidly because of Tyrell's strenth and violent treatment of ALL that oppose him.

But lately Tyrell has learned to use his opponents, rather than kill them, manuevering them against other would be power mongers, in order to let them destroy each other...and themselves.

Night has returned, and with the dark blessing so have the beasts, and the men and women that play with them....

Ella St. Vincent lived what most would call a privileged life. She need only ask for something and it was hers. Most of her kind kept their distance from her. It made for a sad way to spend forever. She was born to Damion St. Vincent, he was one of the oldest of their kind. Perhaps that was why she found herself exhiled by most.

She walked the street oblivious to those humans around her. They were only a means to an end. A way to pass the time some would say. Sometimes she would watch them interact just to easy her lonely heart. Not tonight though. Tonight she was just lost, wanting something but not knowing what that was.

She passed a group of kids dressed in black as was a current style. People were always making movies, writing books about her kind. If they only knew that they existed. Few did, those that they had back alley dealings with. The masses were unaware. Ella looked over at a young man and smiled, flashing her fangs. The kid jumped, not knowing what he exactly saw. She only laughed and continued on her way. She was a vampire and as such the night was her playground.

Alan pushed open the heavy door and pocketed his keys, then slid into the room and stepped several steps to the side.

"Who's there? I can't see you but I can sense you."

It wasn't the first time he had come home to guests waiting for him. Alan had on several occasions been given a much less than warm welcome, and from experience gained now took the same precautions each time he reentered the warehouse.

"I'm going to turn on the lights at the count of three, just to warn you, there are several ultra-violet lamps overhead."

A combination that would blind a waiting shape-shifter, or peel the skin from one of the "undead" as they fled at the very least.

"One"

Alan pulled the pure silver knife from his pocket and focused on the solid figure that began to take shape as his own eyes grew used to the darkness.

"Two"

His left hand on the switches he shifted his weight, ready to leap aside, or forward.

"Thrrr"

"I'd prefer it if you left them off, please?"

The female voice that came to him made him smile, and he pocketed the knife and moved to a single light on the table beside him.

"I was wondering when we'd see each other again"

Jenna had no real reason for showing up in his room, yet here she was waiting as always. A john never really expected to see her twice but he was well to and had treated her good.

When he entered the room, she was scared a little but his manner was reasonable she thought. When he reacted to her voice, she responded. She really did not need the light on to see it was him. His voice sufficed.

"I was wondering when we'd see each other again" he replied. Had he somehow knew she would come back? This in itself pleased her and she smiled to herself.

"Well, you were nice to me the first time. You treated me with the most respect any john could. Of course, you sent the invite when I left so, tonight, being cold as it was, I thought maybe, you would have me" the end of her last sentence seemed to trail off leaving open for however he wanted to interpret.

She stood in the darkness, her leather mini hugging her legs. Her shirt, what was left hung tattered and her hair was askew. Yet she had managed, in a drug enduced state, to make herself walk to this place and stand before him as a fond lover would do.

"Alain, I do hope you dont mind" she seemed to need to apologize. After all she was what she was. Coming back to the same haunt twice was not in her nature yet, she was drawn to him no matter how hard she tried to tell herself differently.

"No, not at all, it's just that you were....unexpected?"

Alan looked around the rest of the room, verifying with a sidelong glance that they were alone before locking the door and turning to his guest.

"So what do I owe the pleasure to?"

Alan knew the woman and could remember the pleasures they shared, though for the life of him he couldn't recall her name...and by the confused look on her face he knew she had already told him why he was there...

"I'm sorry, I'm being less than the perfect host, aren't I?"

Taking a good look at the woman he saw the torn clothes and dirty hair, and under that wild hair he found a pair of dilated and desperate eyes.

"Jenna, You look like you might want a hot bath, or shower?"

Her name had came to him and somehow it allowed him to function normally, though instinct told him there was nothing normal about this midnite visit.

"I'm pretty sure I have some warm clothes and a cup of coffee when you're done?"

She stood just a moment looking at him. Yes, she had been very unexpected. She was not for certain that she would have been allowed inside here had she asked. She dropped her head, almost ashamed of why she was here at all.

It was simple. Jenna was a junkie and a whore. She longed to live a life less ordinary. Extraordinary. She wanted to be free of this need, and yet she was scared. So, standing in her "uniform" she met his gaze and spoke.

"I would like those things Alan. I was also hoping you would be alone" she said slowing making her way across the room to where he stood.

"I felt, oh, I dont know, something the last time we were together and often played it out in my mind. Over and over I think of how you were so gentle with me and how you loved me as if I were the most precious thing. Yet, you were stern and firm with me, allowing me no inch to escape" she had made her way to within inches of his body.

She could feel the heat radiating from him as she reach out to touch him. Her hands, callused, felt the soft fabric of his shirt and the twitching of his arms as she traced lines to his shoulders then placing her hands on his chest.

Playing coy, she turned her eyes to the floor before speaking again.

"I should only hope that I made any impression on you. I thought, maybe, you would like to try and recreate the acts again. Only this time, without the ease, without the gentlness. Maybe this time, you could treat me the way you wanted to the first time" she said. Her voice barely above a whisper.

Alan stood quietly and studied the woman before him.

The rules of mortals had long ago lost thier effects on him, and yet his body responded to the thoughts of her suggestions.

He had used her once, and made himself think of a past love long dead, thus the gentleness of his lovemaking, and the strength of the impression he made upon her mind, he supposed.

And yet now, at this moment, she could be of great use to him, two fold.

"You are a whore, and an addict, are you not?"

He stated bluntly and watched her face redden for a second time.

"But my memory recalls your body does not bear the scars of carrying a child, are you ridden with disease that makes this impossible?"

Blunt words. Words of truth and in truth, pain.

But despite Jenna's embaressment she rose her head and answered levelly, not in accusation, but with truth.

"I am both as you say, but bear no weakness, my lack of child is by design, not disease"

Alan smiled, the value of Jenna having increased tenfold since he spied her that evening, and his plan came complete in his head.

"You wish to remain here for the eve, a respite from the cruelty humans reign down upon each other, if only for a fortnight, is that correct?"

"It is, and I would offer the use of myself in exchange"

Jenna's words rang true and she made to strike an alluring pose, her body jutting forward as she tilted her head to the side.

"Very good Jenna"

Adam complimented the whore and stepped forward towards her.

"But never lessen the value of what you have to trade...so early in the negotiations."

Smiling at her confusion Alan stopped before Jenna less than an arms reach away, then explained.

"For what you offer is worth more than one nights reprieve, I would as an honest trader be cheating you, and that in time would cost me much more than I gain temporarily."

Jenna's face still showed confusion, and Alan laughed, then touched her cheek with his hand.

"You sell yourself too cheap child, let me make you a far better deal, for in your eyes I see a wanting to be something greater and far different, is that not so?"

Alan smiled, watching Jenna thinking his words though before answering, and nodded in appreciation of her calm and poise.

"I do wish better, but think you mock me sir, is that your way?"

And at her bold reply Alan laughed, not in disdain but in approval, until tears came to his eyes and his ribs hurt.

"No Jenna, I'm not making fun of you, I have a better deal for you tonight and perhaps from this night on. In return for one final night of being a mans whore and play-toy, I will show you a way of becoming what your hearts desire, free of the drugs and the need to sell your body forever."

Again Adam watched the woman, then smiled and touched her shoulder gently, pointing to the far corner of the immense room.

"Either way you decide, you need a bath, in that room is a shower, bath and a trunk of clothes I took in trade. Use and take what you wish, and give me your answer when you return."

Alan stood and watched Jenna quietly, his eyes enjoying the sway of her body as she turned and walked in the direction he pointed out, and once she closed the door behind him glided to the phone and dialed.

"I have a message for your Master. Tell him I have goods to trade. Goods of the quality he described to me and able to deliver them in 24 hours, he knows who I am, and if he accepts tell him to rings the bells at the stroke of midnite."

"Still getting your kicks scaring the children, hmmm Ella?"

Tyrell sat crouched on the sill of a one story shop and grinned at the woman below.

"I'm surprised that you let yourself get caught so easily on a night like this."

His words weren't so much as taunting as they were curious, and with a tiny leap he dropped to the ground to stand facing the vampire queen.

"You never know, there may be someone...or something out here that gets its kicks from hunting down our kind"

Ella

"Caught, I don't believe anyone would try to catch me Tyrell. No one is truely that insaine, are they?"

She eyed the man before her. He had almost appeared out of nowhere, had he been following her since she left the house. Ella wasn't sure what he wanted. Surely he was just trying to push her buttons, get under her skin.

"Is there something you wanted? Something that I could do for you Tyrell?"

She was a little nervous standing there before the "wolf king". She wondered what he was thinking. What he could possibly want by seeking her out this night.

"Caught, I don't believe anyone would try to catch me Tyrell. No one is truely that insane, are they?"

Tyrell chuckled at Ella's half joke, half deadly warning and didn't bother to answer.

For a lycanthrope to attack a vampyre of Ella's strength and prowess was almost unheard, for the beast to walk away alive? It happened only in fairy tales...

"Is there something you wanted? Something that I could do for you Tyrell?"

"Yes, there is something I wanted, and something we could do for each other, as a matter of fact."

Still in full "wolf" form he towered over the Vampyre Queen and yet he hadn't become Ulfric by being fooled that size alone dictated strength...

"Two of my clan were attacked and killed two nights ago, younger members who were looking for a quiet spot... and found it, along with more trouble than they could handle...it seems."

His eyes were black as coal, and Tyrell lowered his massive head to face the Vampyre Queen before continuing...

"I am not accusing your followers, mind you, but the two lovers were killed by your kind...I saw the proof myself before the two began to change...and I was forced to destroy them."

Tyrell saw an eyebrow lift over Ella's alluring eyes, and knew the sensation of horror himself...for if a werewolf were "turned" while still in human form...the natural immunity to a vampires bite wouldn't protect him for long...and once the wolf turned?

It had happened before, the half vampire..half wolf had turned rogue...and killed ruthlessly in a mindless rage of blood lust, forcing both Vampire and Lycanthpore to combine forces and hunt the rogue down...

Inches from his own massive fangs the erotic leader of vampires didn't even flinch, and Tyrell grinned a toothy smile at her coolness as he breathed deeply of her scent.

"I would have known the scent of your clan, it is mixed with that lilac perfume you choose to wear, along with the cloying smell of the undead...So I waited for you to come to me tonight so we could have a private....talk."

Perfume wasn't the only smell that came to his highly developed nostrils, for despite her calm exterior Tyrell tasted a tiny tinge of fear, as well as a greater portion of female...arousal.

"You and I have never crossed the lines Ella, it is a mute testimony to the wisdom gained from our elders mistakes, as well as our skill of leadership...

I would hate to see the outcome if one of us felt forced to do so, but make no mistake...I do NOT fear you...only respect for what you have accomplished has kept me content to honor the unwritten rules...and you"

Two of his had been killed by followers of hers. Ella couldn't believe that. Attacking without reason, for fun was not allowed. He had killed the monstrosity they were going to become.

A half vampire, half wolf. Her father had experimented with it, trying to make vampires stronger. He had failed and his attempts had angered Lycanthpore clans. So much so that her father is now laying at the bottom of the ocean.

Ella shuddered at the thought. She had been the one to send him there. It had given her respect , although some thought to call her a traitor. That she was no longer a real queen.

"I agree Tyrell. I believe that is the reason we have both had such a calming time as rulers. You make no mistake either wolfie, I fear no one. You will not bully me into anything. Tell me about where these two of yours were found? Where were the bites on the body?"

Ella was sure that he could sense the little fear she had but said nothing about it. Her body had always responded to tyrell when they met. Always fear, yet he aroused something else in her. Looking into his eyes she waited. Wanting to know more about the two with bites. She needed to find out who was hunting them and put a stop to it before everything got out of control.

"Wolfie?"

Tyrell grinned at the Vampyre Queen and wondered if she actually taunting him as a leader, or teasing him as a woman intersted in a man might.

"Allright Ella"

He held his arms upright as if in surrender, although his "fingers" were tipped with razor sharp claws that could slice through flesh and bone...

"Neither one of us is afraid to fight to the death for our own, and that is how it should be, but what happened to this pair smacks if a set up...too obvious if you ask me."

And the times were changing, though Tyrell knew little of his own past he had studied for many years the relationship between Vampyre & Werewolf, and wondered if he were the only one that saw a pattern of violence escalating into war between the two factions time and time again...just as it appeared they were making peace with each other.

"I have clothes stashed nearby, if you'll swear a nights peace between us, I'll change into them and show you were the pair were killed..and how."

"One night Tyrell, I swear it, but when the sun sets tomorrow, it will as before"

The readiness with which Ella agreed encouraged Tyrell, and without a word he turned and bounded off between the narrow alley formed by the buildings...willing himself to return to human form and feeling each stride of his legs shorten as he did so...

It took another minute, to reach the burnt out car and recover a pair of faded jeans and a shirt and dress, and he turned to see Ella standing beside the car with an odd look on her face as he pulled his Nikes on...

"Decided to follow me to make sure I wasn't going to return with allies?"

Dressed he closed the distance once again and faced Ella, his blue yellow eyes tinged with curiousity just why she had followed, knowing that he didn't fear harm from her this night because of her promise...

"You change from one form to the other with the ease befitting an Ulfric, Tyrell, I recall it was not so long ago it caused you great pain..."

At six foot tall Tyrell stood only a few inches above Ella, and as he moved closer he found her nearness, as always...stimulating.

"If I didn't know better I'd say you were blushing Ella, and somehow it makes you even more attractive...but lets get moving before the sun catches up to you and on the way I'll fill you in about what's been puzzling me, allright?"

To her credit, Tyrell noted, the Vampyre Queen only nodded, then set off on a pace that allowed him to stay beside her, though once again it appeared she was testing him by the distance they were quickly covering...

"I found the pair in each others arms, at the same hollow beside the river they always used, where the river turns back upon itself before heading south, do you know the place?"

Ella nodded and admitted she did, then proved her knowledge by calling it by it's ancient name...

"Lovers Calm, if I recall, it's been a favorite of both our races for hundreds of years, legend says that it's magical and exudes a calming peace that allows vampire and wolf alike to woo thier lovers under the same tree...at the same time..."

"Yes" Trevor agreed and smiled in appreciation at the undead womans knowledge and candor "Then you'll understand my doubt as to this attack coming from your people in this of all places..."

Detail by detail he began to share with Ella, of the bites that looked almost exactly like the wounds given by a vampire, and on the necks of both as well as on the breasts of the woman.

"They were in human form still, not yet time for them to mate...though I suspect they were enjoying each other quite well in human form, but there was little form of struggle...How long does it take to bleed an adult to the point where they won't fight you?"

And then the strange circular marks he saw on either side of the fallen lovers, and the tiny needle marks he saw as the pair began to change...

They stopped, in the center of the the hollow themselves now, and Tyrell pointed to the marks still visible where he had slain both.

"I believe I arrived sooner then expected, there are brush marks as if someone was trying to wipe out specific tracks...and only the fact I had a cell phone with me when the call came prevented them from finishing...I also believe I was supposed to arrive...after the pair were fully changed..."

What he didn't say was he thought it was a trap, but only because of modern technology did he throw the time table off, and arrive too soon for his own death...

Again they stood half facing each other, and Tyrell could understand why the legend about the place had grown so immense...it was as if he felt peaceful and content at that moment...and was drawn to Ella as she looked at the marks in the grass and sand.

"What does the instinct of a vamire queen...and a woman tell you...Ella?"

Ella

They had been wanting to kill Tyrell, the thought shook her. If they were after him could someone also be out for her as well. The spot of their death was a favorite of both their kinds. Her followers knew better then to feed here. It was a rule.

"You are sure it was one of mine Tyrell. Should I bring this out in my home, I need to know what you say is the truth."

She dropped to her knees feeling the ground that had seen the brutality. Her hand touching and sifting through the sand as though to get some feeling, pick up on some smell. She felt a sudden sadness for those that had lost what they had wanted.

"It doesn't take long to drain someone. Given several minutes a single vampire can do the job. This though feels like the work of a few. It would have not taken long at all to draing the two."

Ella looked up at Tyrell feeling the pull of place, knowing it was nothing more then the calming feeling it gave off. She turned away looking up to the moon and her mind began traveling down paths she would rather not go. Paths that were better left to those that could enjoy them.

"My instincts Tyrell are that someone planned this, knew that these two would be out here and wanted you too find them. Perhaps to kill you I don't know," Ella turned facing him now. "I don't want to think one of my own wants to kill you. That would only mean they have plans for me aswell. I promise to you I will find answers to this."

There again was the sadness, the longing she always had felt by her lonely existence. Ella wanted what she watched the humans have but knew it would never be for her. She was a leader, the leader of her kind and so that made for a very sad way to live her undead life.

Tyrell stood quietly out of Ella's way as she made her own examination, listening closely to her words, not replying until she rose from the ground to face him...

"It was a shame the bodies burned after thier deaths, but in a way a blessing as well, if they had been discovered in the form they were in..."

He left the thought open to his partners imagination and watched as her eyes widened slightly at the implications...

"If they had succeeded killing you they would have moved on to what next?"

Tyrell nodded, then reached into a small leather bag he had brought with him, gingerly pulling out a larg, used hypodermic syringe...

"I found this on the ground as well, there is the smallest amount of something still in it, I'd rather not turn it over to the humans to test? There's a human servant in the city that might have the right contacts?"

Ella had moved towards him quickly, almost faster then his eyes could follow, and yet his reflexes reacted to her and he put a hand up in defense against her chest.

"There's more...I don't think that the attackers were all vampires, those round marks were man made and have a purpose that might fit into all of this, I just haven't figured it out...yet"

Realizing where his hand was and that Ella was interested in the hypo and not attacking him he lowered it and softly apologized as he offered the object to her.

"There is more to this then one race attacking another, if I'm right we could be seeing a coalition of breeds looking at us with reasons we don't know yet, until we can accurately point fingers at ANY of our kind I suggest we keep it to those we can absolutely trust."

Ella

"I agree Tyrell. Although now I'm sure of whom I exactly trust. HAving found this, it brings doubts and questions of loyalty to those in my home. I'm sure you above anyone can understand that."

She grabbed the hypo looking at it. Ella's mind was already thinking about various humas who would benefit from both her and her companion this night being gone. There were so many, she'd have to be quiet about her inspecting.

"You mention a human, one we could tak this too and perhaps could figuer out what was in it. Even maybe if there were prints on it. Would you rather one of us handle it?"

Ella recalled the feel of his hand on her. She knew it had only been a reaction to her fast movement but she had felt a warmth against her cold skin. Shaking her head, now was not the time and so not the place. The hallow had powers and if one let it, you could easily fall under them.

The sun would soon be rising and Ella needed to be back in the saftey of her home. She looked around, taking in the scene before her once again. Her heart, many didn't realise that she had one, felt as though it were breaking for those that died. Her father would have called her a coward. Ella could hear it now in her head.

"I need to seek the saftey of home Tyrell. Sunrise is going to be upon us soon."

"I need to seek the saftey of home Tyrell. Sunrise is going to be upon us soon."

Tyrell nodded, reluctant to leave the hollow and lose the feeling that seemed to be growing between the pair of them, and yet he had no desire to see Ella scarred by the sunrise...or worse.

"I'll go with you as far as the Line then...Not because I doubt your ability to return safely, but because I want the others to see us a solid front..."

Tyrell waited for a reply, and getting none took Ella's silence as an assent and coughed gently to break the silence that hung between them.

"Ella, I'm not your enemy..I hope tonight proved that? If you ever need someone to talk to, or to just sit with quietly...I'd be happy to be that one, no strings attached?"

He reached slowly in front of her, taking the syringe from her hand carefully, and thrilling at the touch of her skin against his...

"Come on lets go, I think we have time to walk this time."

Grinning he slid the deadly needle back into the bag and waited for Ella to begin walking, then matched her pace and marched softly beside her, not wanting to break into her thoughts and choosing instead to watch the area around them as they walked.

Ella was a beautiful woman, Tyrell had known that from the first time they had met, and yet being as close to her he hadn't realised HOW sensous she was...or how quietly sad...

"We're close enough Tyrell, and Thank You..."

It was the first words she had spoken since her statements back at the hollow as they stopped to face each other in another narrow alley...

"If you want to thank me do one favor for me now?"

Tyrell didn't know what impulse drove him to the words, and would later wonder over the results of that impulse...

"Of course..what is it?"

"Close your eyes?"

"Is this some sort of joke...or trick?"

"No, just...a favor?"

They bantered gently and finally Ella gave in, closing her eyes and sighing gently as Tyrell moved closer to her...

"Now what, you disappear?"

Tyrell smiled softly, then gently pressed his lips to hers, holding them still until he felt Ella respond and open her own to him. For a long minute they kissed, nothing more...Tyrell was careful not to touch her though his body ached to do so...and when he pulled away Ella was the first to speak as she looked at him.

"What was that for..Ty?"

Tyrell smiled gently and met her questioning eyes with his own...

"I remember someone telling me "A pretty Lady like you needs to be kissed once in a while, just to remind her she is indeed...a woman." Don't let the weight of your responsibilities drag you so far down that you can't enjoy a kiss...now and then Ella, sweet dreams my Vampyre Queen."

And then he did leave, using the darkness of the alley to hide him, and his natural strength and speed to take him quickly away from Ella, so the others that had followed them trailed behind him...and not her...

As she crawled deep into the warmth of the water, the familiar itch arose about her. The X she had taken earlier was wearing off and she needed another hit. Yet, she felt almost as if she could drift here, in this tub. She softly washed her hair and body, allowing the scented bubbles to penetrate her skin. She heard him talking assuming he was ordering something this or that, as he had before.

After an hour, she decided it was good and stepped from the tub wrapping only a towel around her, she leisurly strode back into the room where he waited.

"Time can be such a tease dont you think Alan?" she asked. She had not given any thought to what he had said earlier. She felt he was there for her purpose and that was the only purpose she had. Yet when he broached the subject again, she felt obliged to acknowledge.

"I do think that offering more than my body would be almost disasterous. What else have I to offer you lover? My soul? is that what you wish of me? to take my hell damned soul?" and she laughed at him. Flinging herself down on the bed allowing the towel to fall open freely and expose her to him, she met his gaze with one of her own.

"I shall grant you whatever reprive you wish my dear Alan. You may take from me whatever pleasures you seek. Yet, that shall not change the price. I do not come cheap nor do I pleasure for free" she said stroking one slightly engorged nipple, meeting his eyes. She was not aware of the danger she had placed herself in until it was almost to late.

Ella

Remind her that she was a woman, is that what Tyrell had thought to do. Ella always knew that. She couldn't help that it was because of who she was, most shied away from her. Few ever dared to to stay in her company for longer then needed.

Ella feared she would never find anyone for her. Ty's kiss had only left her wanting more. More of what, she didn't know. So wanting to discover it though.

Don't let the weight of your responsibilities drag you so far down that you can't enjoy a kiss...now and then Ella, sweet dreams my Vampyre Queen

She head Tyrell's words and knew he was right but she couldn't help that things rested on her. She was Queen therefore a life came after taking care of responsibilities. Ty had no idea how those things effected her, kept her from experiencing what most had, a life. She was to busy making deals, keeping those that followed her safe. She had no time for anything else.

Now was no different. Something was brewing, would be coming soon. Ella knew not what it was, only that it had sights set on hurting Tyrell and possibly her. She needed to understand more.

Tomorrow night wuld have to be soon enough. She would find Tyrell and together she hoped they would find answers. One's she needed as much as he did.

She watched the gates open before as she moved to the house. Dogs barking in the distance, rain began to fall. Opening the door she looked around the now quiet home.

The house was still except for a few young ones. Many still considered her that, yet she was the Queen. Having no choice since her father found his new home among aquatic life. She assumed the role, bringing once again a balance to the family.

Ella moved through the house making her way to her room. Closing and locking the door, she undressed and lay in bed. Sleep didn't take long to claim her as the sun rose. She slept, dreaming only of one thing, the kiss she shared with Ty.

It didn't take long.

Tyrell was barely out of the Vampyre's territory before they attacked.

They had trailed Ella and himself since they left the "Calm" and his only question was why they hadn't came at the pair of them earlier...

Waiting until he was alone made several facts quite clear...the way they came at him proved several more...

The first was human, obviously a decoy, for his attempt with the knife was so feeble and slow Tyrell nearly ignored it...hearing the rush of footsteps coming at him from behind....

But the knife was silver, a weapon too expensive for the man that carried it, the filthy rags and dirty unwashed smell he brought with him proof alone...and Tyrell tore his throat out before turning to face number two...

"Hello Vince, come to take my crown?"

Tyrell greeted the man, knowing from his scent WHO he was, and from the past events between them...What he was, as well.

"I told you to leave these lands Vince, do you remember?"

Vince had been the only failure in Tyrell's recruitment for his clan....the man had proved himself a thief, and a liar, and after several disturbing occurences Tyrell had chosen to kick him out...rather than kill him.

"I remember...Ulfric, but this time I serve a wiser...and stronger Master."

The way Vince spit out the words showed his contempt for Tyrell but that didn't worry him, the way he changed so rapidly into wolf form did...nearly catching Tyrell off guard and he forced himself to change shapes for a second time that night in record time...

Minutes later it was over...Vince was stronger and faster, but clumsy in his attempts, and as Tyrell watched him die the Lycan showed his final defiance by spitting at him and refusing to tell Tyrell who his "new" Master was...

A quick search resulted with nothing but the knife, and Tyrell pocketed it before stealing the clothes from the dead human, then leaving the corpses behind and heading for his original destination, to find the human servant and see if he could get some answers about the contents of the syringe...

Minutes later he arrived, and after pounding insistantly on the mans door..watched it open slowly..and a face appear...

"I shall grant you whatever reprive you wish my dear Alan. You may take from me whatever pleasures you seek. Yet, that shall not change the price. I do not come cheap nor do I pleasure for free"

Alan stood behind the bound woman and drove the whip across her body for the countless time, the scream of pain coming from her lips muffled, but not entirely stopped by the ball gag forced between them.

"You have a lovely ass, I hope you do not mind if I use it?"

Laughing at her inability to answer Alan stroked his cock and brought the whip down again, feeding off the waves of pain that rolled from Jenna's body, and sensing the growing lust as well.

"I take that as a YES."

Fingering her clit Alan used the wetness of it to lube her ass, until he was satisfied he would be able to thrust his cock deep into place, looking forward to her cries of pain as he took his own pleasure.

Until the fist began to drum at the door and threatened to break it down, quite literally.

"Hold your patience"

Dressed in a robe Alan pulled the door open as far as the chain would allow, then gasped and slipped off the chain to allow the man in,

"Forgive me, I did not know it was you. How can I be of service?"

Door closed he knew the Ulfric King could not only see the bound and helpless woman, but smell her as well, and yet the man simply pushed a leather bag at him.

"Can you identify this and where it might have come from?"

Opening the bag carefully Alan took a deep breath, then exhaled as he examined it, to place it quickly back into the bag.

"I have not seen this syringe used for over one hundred years. Where did you find it? No matter, I do not wish to know, it's better to be neutral in this small burg, rather than choose sides."

"When did you last see another like it?"

The man pressed and stared intently at Alam, his impatience obvious and growing.

"When I served my Master on the day he was killed by his own kin"

Alan answered truthfully and watched the mans head turn to the bound woman.

"Is there anything else I might do for you, Ulfric?"

"No" The answer came as the man gripped the door handle and pulled it open. "Is the woman here of her own free will?"

"She came to me, a whore I used before, to trade herself for a nights warmth."

The door closed, Alan bolting it securely and dropping the robe off his shoulders as he stood over the helpless woman then pulled out the gag.

"Are you ready for me, whore?"

Tyrell wasn't a happy camper

Not at all.

In less than twenty four hours two of his own had been killed, and he had to destroy them before they changed into something grotesque...He had survived an outright attempt to kill bty a human AND one of his own kind...then told that the syringe used to change his own pack members was a hundred years old...and indirectly belonged to the woman he had kissed...A vampyre Queen, no less.

He was headed BACK to the place he came from the night before, only this time there was NO truce between them, and with a single command SHE could have him torn apart.

And yet?

He had to know.

The curiousity would surely kill him if he didn't find out.

Not about the syringe, and the killings, and attempted murders...

But about the kiss, and if it meant as much to her...

As it did...to him.

That's why he crept past the human servants in the daylight...Found where the Vampyre Queen took her "days rest" and slipped inside the chambers..to wait...

Until she woke.

Ella

Ella could feel the pull of sunset calling to her to awaken from her sleep. Within moments she woke, her eyes wide as she stretched her body. She lay there a moment thinking of last night. All that had happened.

Ty finding her, telling her about finding two of his clan. She could only think of her father. There had been rumors circulating that he was the cause for the crazy half breeds. She didn't want to belive it but when she stumbled upon him doing just that she knew.

That next night she sent him to his watering grave. Not everyone believe her. They thought she was a traitor, but she had proven to them she was right. Those that still believed in her father left the coven and found shelter elsewhere.

All that was told to the Lycan clans was that he had been found doing wrong and was punished for it. No details given as it would have surely set off a war the likes one never wanted. Not again at least. That kind of war was threating to show again. Ella knew it was time to come clean to Tyrell.

She rose and headed to to dress. Suddenly she felt it , someone was with her. Something waiting in the darkness for her. Just waking her eyes tried to focus. It was to late Tyrell was there before her, he didn't look happy either.

"Tyrell what are you doing here? What do you want?"

"Tyrell what are you doing here? What do you want?"

Sitting there in the corner of her room Tyrell had asked himself the very same thing as he eyed the "sleeping" Vampyre Queen, and just WHY he had those expectations...

It all was traceable back to one single, yet significant event.

The kiss they had shared.

So what did he want?

"The truth Ella, about your Father, his work...and this"

Tyrell held his fanged hand open, and inside the massive paw rested not one...but two syringes.

"Turns out the man I went to see didn't need to test the first syringe after all, he recognized it...the second I picked off the dead body of a human after he and a wolf I cast out tried to kill me..."

The events were getting to be too similar, each time someone was supposed to die, one of the syringes showed up..and it all led back to one person.

"The truce is over Ella...Hours ago, in fact...If I thought you were a threat or behind any of this I could have...and would have...made your slumber..permanent."

Ella looked at Tyrell, knew he could have silenced her why she slept. Yet there was something about him that made he wonder if he wasn't being completly honest. If he was leaving out something.

"Ty, sit and I'll tell you what I know. What I left out because of what happened so many years ago. What was deemed neccessary to keep a truce between our kinds," Ella said sitting on the overstuffed chair.

Memories of it all came flooding back to her. Finding her father in his lab. So many screaming in pain, in hunger. Even the one managing to escape. One she tracked down, finding it had been her dearest friend her father had changed. Ella could live with it no more.

"My father for years was trying to find a way to make the vampires stronger, more powerful. He would not listen to anyone, said we were all just hiding the truth from ourselves. I caught him one in night in his lab. Needles were everywhere, many of my kind screaming in horror as he tested them. They changed, I watched them. I saw a friend, Lilyan there. Not helping but being turned. Somehow my father had lycan blood and was injecting it into a vampire hoping for some super species. It failed, every time. No one could tolerate both in there system."

Ella stopped, her mind yet again traveling that sad past. Hating what she had to do but knowing is was the only way. She still heard him screaming at her.

You are my blood. I will seek you out. I shall return.

"With some help I took him down. Sent him to a watery tomb as I could not kill him. Only a select few know of its location Tyrell. None would be disloyal. He has been locked away for so many years. Since I began my rule. It was decided to not let anyone know what he had been up to there in his lab. All those he tested on had been destroyed, by my hand. I destroyed everything."

Ella sat not knowing what was running through Ty's mind. She had no idea where the syringe had come from. She personally destroyed them all. She thought she had. What if someone betrayed her. If they brought her father back. Ella's eyes showed fear. Would her father come back seeking a revenge hundreds of years old?

Tyrell listened intently with all his senses.

His eyes studied the half dressed woman, and with an effort ignored the well shaped flesh to focus on her eyes and facial expressions....

His nose flared, drawing in her scent and filtering the musky mix of woman and perfume away to look for hints of lies or fear.

His ears, so finely tuned he could hear the others like her begin to wake and move about, ignored the warning signs and focused on her voice to listen for slightest inflection of mistruth.

Through it all he found nothing to distrust her for...only her pain of reliving the past, and the fear of that past returning to lash out at her...

"You should finish dressing Ella, not that I don't like what I see, but it sounds like we have to go visit that watery tomb and put your worries to rest."

Oh he liked what he saw. The idea of having her was growing too appealing, the knowledge that a vampires strength would make her the perfect match for a Lycan during sex making his belly warm...and cock twitch...

And yet he knew it was neither the time...or the place.

In fact it was getting more and more dangerous for him by the minute.

Not that he was afraid of a vampire...or two...But he wasn't crazy enough he could take on an entire clan of outraged blood suckers when they discovered him in the Queens quarters...

"Is there a chance that your father wasn't working alone Ella?"

He questioned and watched unashamed as the Vampyre Queen moved to dress.

"Or perhaps...This wasn't the only place he conducted his experiments?"

A tingle went up and down his spine as Ella faced him and pulled off her gown, and he discovered she was nude save for the smallest of G-string...

Grinning he nodded at her display, then continued speaking his thoughts out loud....

"The fact that they are attacking the Lycan's is interesting as well, I watched my own kind change into a mindless, killing beast right before me, so it's obvious the formula either works on Both of our kinds...or has been modified since..."

With a tinge of regret he watched Ella's erotic body disappear under her clothes, and as she tugged on her boots she nodded to him and then grinned a delightfully evil smile.

"I need to satisfy my blood thirst Ulfric, so unless you're volunteering I suggest we go, giving me time to make a detour along the way?"

Grinning and fully aroused Tyrell stood, knowing his cock was proudly erect and in his present form...enormous.

"As you wish, Vampyre Queen, I too have a hunger...but it best be ignored...for the time"
