So, yesterday, Cheney was in town to do some fund raising. I am used to the mild fan fare when Bush is in town. Airforce One lands very close to the building I work in so its hard to miss his arrival/departure.
What grabbed my attention was the fact that it seemed like there were even more secret service than was provided for Bush. Traffic was a nightmare and getting on campus took me 15 min. The only difference for Cheney was that there were no copters...
Why so much attention for Cheney? He chose to use Airforce One to fly into town...bill? conservatively costing taxpayers atleast 250g's for a two hour visit. sweet. I was thinking it would have been better for him not to show up and save us all that money instead of just tossing it away.
That was my odd observation yesterday. Who knows what today will bring? Share an odd observation or quirky notation here. I'd love to see that I'm not a hyperbrained freak.
