On CNN just now they were talking about a 'breaking story' about a website that claims to have a plot to blow up dirty bombs (ie, radioactive) at 7 NFL games on Sunday. The Homeland Security Dept. says they are "not credible", but released the information out of "an abundance of caution" to allow private citizens to make their own decisions.

Clearly, the threats cannot be taken seriously; one of the stadiums threatened is Cleveland.

I don't know, maybe they will blow up Cleveland just to keep the Indians out of the WS next year! ;)

Certainly, blowing up the Browns would be redundant. :D

"Black Sunday" and a Tom Clancy novel already gave the Feds a 'one up' on that scenario, although the loss of NFL fans would most likely not be noticed...

Don't dismiss a good plot so easily, Amicus. ;)

I recall the 'jumbo-jet-as-bomb' idea from a Tom Clancy novel as well...

Apparently, PDBs aren't the only thing that senior govt. officials don't pay much attention to.
