Based partially on the show Lost, this tells a similar tale, but with some changes.
Oceanic Flight 815 is departing from Sydney, Australia, bound for Los Angeles, USA. About six hours into the flight, a severe thunderstorm appears seemingly out of nowhere and seriously disorients the pilots. When the clouds begin to fade, they realize that somehow they are hundreds of miles off-course and begin suffering engine failure. The craft breaks apart over a large tropical island and all the passengers die horribly painful deaths.
After experiencing an odd realm of darkness, a handful of the passengers suddenly find themselves alive again, laying on the beach of the island. Their injuries have somehow vanished, despite each of them having vivid memories of being killed. Are they still dead? Did some force on the island heal their bodies and bring them back to life? Are they trapped in a coma dream world? These are ideas that run through their minds as they try to make sense of what happened. This becomes even more difficult when the castaways begin to develop strange powers and they discover they are not alone on the island...
