What??

A grey war between clans that just don't 'dook it out' in the streets?? Where strategy and planning play a factor?? Where hidden plots and manipulation are keys to victory as much as ' i stik U with mi big sord' mentality??

Are you MAD!?!?!

**I am sooo there** :D

Im thinking ill be an elven assassin, i never rped as an elf before, as i generally prefer dwarves adn humans. but elves are well suited for the job, while dwarves not so much.

*klunk, klunk, klunk* I'm here to kill you, don't get up and try to run. Ahhh damnit....lol

Anybody play elderscrolls IV: Oblivian? The assain guilds quests were some of the best in the game, things like being locked in a mansion and having to kill all the other guests whith out any of them suspecting you, to eleminating all of the other assains in the guild.

But I degress, I happen to have a dnd character I havn't used yet. Uum, the Mt troll were-spinosourous 5th level barbarian, 10th level frenzied beserker, 5th level war shaper. (While transformed, frenzied, and raging we are talking the bite from a collosal creature with a steangth of around 90. [4d8+40 crit 19-20 x2 danamge.]) No I'm kidding, this is actully just an example of why you don't piss off the dm.

I'll probably actully make some sort of monk, but I'm not sure where to place em.

lol, I've been a mean DM sometimes.

To the rule natzi: Your god no longer beleives in you.

To the cusser: Ok, now you ARE hung like your horse.

To the Ranger who said "set the forrest on fire" while in the forgotton temple of a lost forest god: You no longer can be within 100 yards of an open flame, and even magical flame stuggles when you are near it.

i'll dust off my RP.... er..... stuff? this looks interesting, and it's been SOO long since i've been part of a thread. i'm in

oh, and Cats, the first thing i thought of when she said "theives guild" and "assasins guild" was hmmm..... we need to change that to "the Dark Brotherhood" heh. friggen love oblivion.

and as for DnD chars, i actually had one that did some theiving. not very well mind you.

the char was a pixie/faerie bard, who suffered from being diminutive, thus about 5 inches tall. my charecter would roam the streets looking for drunks that had passedout on the streets and steal their coin purses, then once obtaining them, would run a few inches and crawl up the leg of a human partner to hide. it worked out pretty well actually considering it was almost impossible to see me.

"Umm, we're having major difficulty in finding the enemy...See, we ask people; 'Are you the enemy?' and whoever says yes, we kill them..."

I'm new to this site, this is my first post, but your game seems as good as any to join. I don't spend a lot of time on the computer, but my free time is here if it's accepted.
Btw, am I supposed to include a title? There's a space for it but I didn't see one on any of your posts. (Not that I know where to look.)

This is what a reply title looks like :D

Welcome all, I'll start on the opening post right now. Please write up your descriptions here! :nana:

Kirano_kun, welcome, I'm honored that you chose mine as your frist RP thread to join! The only time a title is really needed is when starting a thread, when posting a reply it's not needed.

Sometimes, when RPing, it's nice to put your PC's name in the title. :D

Woah, title...

Tis' a world full of amazing things. Thanks for the schooling.

All right then. Behold, a first attempt at an orp character!

Name: K'ahl Silvaris
Race: Elf
Sex: Male
Age: ( There are many different takes on elves in fantasy, are yours mortal or immortal? I observe that your map is from the forgotten realms, so one might ascertain that your races follow suit, but I've never actually read/played the series) 213 (young?)

Personality: Typically very calm and serene (in the right crowds), there are a few issues that I'm touchy on though and if you push my buttons, I'm your worst nightmare. I don't like humans.

Appearance: Straight white hair that falls about shoulder-length, deep-set gray eyes that develop a reddish hue when angry, slim and delicate looking (but very strong when need be) with somewhat feminine features. In summary, I'm what you might call a pretty-boy (As many elves seem to be) but I am one sexy beast.

Attire: Heres something strange for fiction, I change my clothes from day to day. I do however always wear a faded crimson scarf that covers my lower face.

Weapons: I cary with me a staight-edge broad katana with three bolts near the hilt. ... It's my baby.

Position in city: As I am unaware of how often I will be posting, I will take on a roll beyond the city walls, visiting when convenient. If it suits the story, I will be a former affiliate of the assassin's guild, rejected for reasons unknown. I have no remaining connections therein save for an old partner and friend named Tirinath.

i'll whip something up i'm sure, i just have to get over the HUGE hump of which guild would i rather be part of.... or are we making charecters, what "whatever happens happens, you might not be approached by the right people to get into guild X" ?

name: Tirinath
race:elf
age:200
height: if were using shorter then human elves, 5'4" if we're using human or taller elves 6'1"
weight: 150 or 180 (depending on elves you wanna go with)
job: assasin
weapons: one long, finely crafted elven scimitar, a shorter heavier warblade. assorted daggers and knives. assorted throwing stars. one crossbow, enchanted to allow for sniper-like scope. (if not allowed let me know, and itll be a regular crossbow) assorted poisons on his belt.
appearance: tied back black hair and several rings in his left ear. usually wears fine black trousers and black poet's shirt with high black leather boots when not on a mission. considered a rake by most of his brothers among the guild, but his fighting and assassination skills are beyond reproach.

This sounds like the type of thread I would love to take a part in.

Here is my character:

Name: Jonathon Remis
Race: Human
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 160 lbs
Job: Thief
Description: Long brown hair with green eyes. Wears dark grey leggings with a blue shirt and black leather boots that are enchanted to hush every step he makes. Is an expert at lockpicking and making traps.
Weapons: Two daggers.

The singing assassin
Character Name: Gali
Titles: The Singing assassin
Race: Human
Sex: Male
Age: 25
Relatives: None
Occupation: Assassin

Description: A mountain of a man, 6`5" tall he is heavily muscled, he has a bald head and tattoos adorn his scalp.

Clothing: He wears loose fitting tunics and carries a spear tied on his back.

Weapon: The spear of Loathing - passed on generation after generation to the greatest assassin from the forgotten sect.

Personality: Gali is a big booming man he is jovial, but in an instant - in the presence of danger - he becomes 100% fixed on the battle.

Background:Training in the forgotten sect is arduous to say the least. Assassins by their very nature are lithe fast and deceitful. Gali, from a young man was never fast always brutish and was always picked out as person`s preferred target. In the sect you have to kill a person from the sect to progress to the next level and become an assassin. Gali continually foiled other attempts at his life by outwitting his rivals but not once did he kill any of them.
One day the sect leader took him to one side and asked him why he did not kill any who tried to take his life. his reply was ,"They do what is asked, they are not evil." The sect leader pondered for a moment, he paused and looked up to the heavens as if making up his mind.
"follow me," the sect leader walked off into a hut with Gali following him.
"Gali," the sect leader said, "you are the student we have waited for, one who is big shall come. This person will be the fastest assassin in the land, he will be so fast the air will sing in the dying ears of the evil. From today you train to fulfill your destiny."
For the next 4 years Gali was trained to a new level he became quick and lithe yet powerful, no one dared try and kill him, and he trained in peace. until one day he was asked into the same hut he had entered all those years ago.
"You are impressive and shall serve this land well," the cloaked figure handed him a long spear wrapped in cloth, "That is the spear of Loathing - it will kill many, that is its destiny. However yours is to use it for a just cause." Gali took hold of the spear it glowed a feint blue and immediately felt a part of him. "Now you must go you must travel, don't ever forget you are an assassin, but only kill those who the spear tells you, you will understand when the time comes. . . dark times come." Gali then left the hidden village and made his way into the world.

Everyone looks good, tho Kirano_kun you don't have to be outside the city to play, you can still post as needed but you have to deside what you main goal is....

Revenage on the Brotherhood, perhaps? if so you could feed clues to members of the Shadows...or if your trying to get in good with the Brotherhood again, do the opposite.

Morality is in the eye of the beholder. For example it was perfectly acceptable for an Inunit man to offer his wife to a honored guest, but most white cultures frown on that....;)

It is generally thought however that the shorter lived humans have souls and the longer lived elves do not, and so when they die it's the forever death.

Khadgar you can start your PC at the beginning of his career, definately. When you deside just post something like "...paced infront of the burned out tavern, waiting for the contact for the .....guild, he'd spend weeks setting this up.." Blah blah blah :D We are light on theives at the moment however....

Optimas it would be a very thin sect if they killed off all the members...But it sounds like a great background! PM me the details of the spear please.

Remember...you don't have to be just a guild member, you can be a citzen, merchant, spouce or child or parent, or guard....

Eventually, as the city panics, mercs will be hired to put down this threat so you can be a merc too, which might be something Optimas might consider!

Angelus I can't even recall the last time I saw you on th orp board. Nice seeing you thogh.

Kirano-kun, nice meeting you, if you need help feel free to ask. Most people on the orp are vey goodat answering questions. As for the title, I also fully recamend including the characters name on IC posts.

Well Polite, I have a question about double dipping, so to speak. Is it alright for my character to be a gaurd and in he theives guild, a sort double agent or spy for the guild?

In the mean time I'll post the basics of my charcter.

Name: Lia
race: human
gender: female
Age: 20
hair: brown, but shaved, except for the eye brows.
Eyes: blue
Weight: 102 lbs
Height: 5'1"
Dress: Usaly a guards cloak and a loose fitting shirt and shorts or pants, in various styles and colors. While on dutty she always wheres two steel bracers on her forearms and a steel gauntlet on her right hand.

History so far: She was placed in a monastary at the age of four to learn dicipine and order. While there she gained suprising agility, stanima, and cordination. These became the backbone of her fighting style. At the age of 16 the head master of the monestary died under suspicous causes, and she left the monestary. The fallowing year was hard and in the end she decided theft was better then starvation. It was during this time she first made contacts with the theives guild. The guild didn't have to much use for her sense she was beter suited for combat then walking quietly and hiding. However it wasn't long before the guild found a use for her. A job opertunity came her way, she jioned the night watch of the city guard. She was stationed near the guilds headquarters, and while many gaurds in that station were on the take, none of them knew she was a true guild member which worked in favor of the guild and her. Do to the recent events in the town she has been premoted with in the gaurds post to lead a small squad. This hasn't made her life easier though, as she now has to try and balance both her dutties in the town and in the guild. She freely reports information from the higher ups, but at the same time has to ocasionly punish the gaurd on the take and hunt for guild members.
