Is it just me, or are there more chubby kids in the 8-14 yr old group than in the past?

Mama raises you on you TV dinners and McDonalds, and then you get to 14 and realise you don't look like a supermodel -- oh no! -- and starve yourself so you can be annorexic instead of chubby.

Nice, isn't it?

Yes, there is more.
Many parents are a lot less concerned with nutrition than convienience. It is a shame, because these children will most likely suffer obesity through their whole lives, with some exceptions. The toll is takes on physical development is the scary part. Their chances of major, health problems increases so much. So much time, money and effort will be spent, between diet groups, fads, pills, and med care, that I don't see how parents can justify handing their kid snacky smores instead of a sit down meal...

Oh, And fuck snacky smores! They are rancid!*

Video games are not exercise!!

Not to mention the sedentary life style of the kids. I mean what is up with the battery operated kiddie cars. No wonder these kids are fat. Pluuullease would you just get up off your ass and take the kids out for a walk.

It's the same in the UK. I sometimes collect a friend's kid from school and I've certainly noticed the increase in girth of the young. Poor sods.
