Federal spending under Obama has increased at a lower rate than under any other president during the last 40 years. The deficit is being driven by a drop in Federal revenue, not an increase in spending. Clinton handed Bush a budget surplus. Bush cut taxes and hamstrung his Wall Street regulators, and the rest is history.

Every year, progressive Democrats offer the "People's Budget" which balances the budget in a matter of a few years. Every year, the People's Budget gets ignored by the media, which is probably why you've never heard of it.
