What should happen and what will happen

Some may feel that the above list is logical and in a logical world those things would happen. But, sad to say, this is not a logical world.

First, the swamp doesn't care at all about Trump's views on politics and neither do they. They take stands on whatever will win them votes just to absorb power. (Left and right) That is the real reason they hate Trump and attack him every waking moment.

Many of these deep state swamp creatures know that if they are exposed they could go to prison and be stripped of all power. To avoid that they will do anything to block Trump from draining the swamp. Before they would allow Obama to go to jail many others would be tossed under the bus. And some would be aided to committee suicide or have mysterious things happen to them.

If Obama did end up going to prison that would be the new standard for every future POTUS. The leftists would want any political enemy to be sent to prison. It could happen but if it did it would result in a second and even more deadly civil war in the USA.

Hollywood elites, fake religious leaders, deep state swamp creatures and associated politicians along with fake news outlets and egotistical leftist educators have turned the whole world into a polluted cesspool.

Looks to me like a storm is brewing.

Barr has already said that neither Obama nor Biden are targets. (Of course Comey was fired for refusing to state publicly what he told Trump about him not being a target. Which was a lie in any case.)

Barr's decision is possibly because both have plausible deniability or (less likely) no culpability whatsoever. It is likely wisely deferential to political considerations and precedents such a thing would set. We can't afford to gave each successive DOJ imprison the previous administration.

While in office, Obama could have easily been impeached for any number of scandals because impeachment can be a political process. No one considered it because of the optics of tossing the "historuc" president. It was reasonably assumed that voters would not reelect with such an anemic recovery. Once re-elected, overturning the legitimate rrelection would have been even worse optics.

Obama sniping from the sidelines is all the garm he can do now, and it harms his legacy more than the country.

We as a country do not need to see another administration presuming to interfere with candidates including Coney's bizzare effort to inoculate Clinton with a weirdly tortured non-investigation followed by conflicted dtatements.

Staying out of it is better for the country, especially in an election year. It also is better optics for Republicans and will grant more legitimacy (not that the leftists will acknowledge it) should Trump win a second term.

The snooping (That they indisputedly were doing, based on prior unmaskings that you are ignoring, so no need for scare quotes) *predates* the Kislyak call.

The "we just happened to be listening to Kislyak" is off the table because there was no unmasking. They did not have to ask who Kislyak was talking to, which means it was filed under "Flynn," not Kislyak.

In this case, it is thought that that particular intercept was accomplished using foreign intelligence services.

Also, your strawman about spying in the campaign (which I neither said or implied) is conflating two different (but related by actors and methods) scandals. They used Carter Page to two-hop all Trump campaign communications. Pay attention to the calendar. The unmaskings were post election and designed to find something, anything on Flynn because Flynn was s threat to the reveal of the first scandal. They expected to win. They didn't find anything so the lied about both what the transcript actually said and what Flynn said about what was said in the call. By tweaking both ends the crested a lue that never happened, much less with intent, much less that had a material effect on an open investigation, which, not incidentally was not an active investigation.
