That's not particularly true. I have usually disliked intensely disliked the person who was allegedly representing me in Congress, beginning with Ronald Dellums.

As for Obamacare: I was on Medicare when it passed, and my premium for supplemental insurance immediately increased by about 80%. Now, it is about six times what it was in 2009. Thanks, Obama.

You haven't looked into the numbers of those who have managed to be insured now who weren't under your/Republican's idea of how to handle health care--which is to do nothing. Let the greedy market rule (and to what you personally can to get on the blood-sucking gravy train). Of course you aren't looking at those numbers. They make your "let them eat cake" position look like you need to have your head lopped off for your lack of appreciation about what makes a healthy economy.

I actually think you're the one who doesn't understand.

Prior to ObamaCare, some people didn't have, or didn't want, HC. Price was only part of the equation, those who couldn't afford HC also couldn't afford other things. Like decent housing, food, clothes, etc.

Now, after ObamaCare, these people have HC mostly given to them.

Sounds great. Until you realize that they still don't have decent housing, food, clothes, etc. Plus, the cost of giving them that mostly free HC means that the rest of the market had to pay for it with skyrocketing premiums.

So, what did all those "new" insureds actually get? HC policies that they can't use because they can't afford the co-pays or deductibles. And that's IF they can even afford to pay the yearly premiums.

And, in order for them to get that small tidbit of nothingness, 80% of the other insureds have to pay 4x as much for their policies.

What a deal...
