Obama Marks Father’s Day: “It’s Not Easy” Being A Gay Dad…

So much pandering.

Via Politico:

President Barack Obama says there’s no substitute for the love and support that fathers provide.

In his weekly Internet and radio address, Obama is wishing Americans a happy Father’s Day. He’s laments that his own father wasn’t around and says he’s still working to be a better father.

Obama says being a dad isn’t easy for anyone – gay, straight, grandparent or foster parent. He says he wants to encourage marriage and strong families by reforming child support laws to get more fathers engaged. He says businesses, faith groups and communities have a role to play.

Usually "pandering" requires a specific group to be pandered to. Is it pandering if he mentions everyone? Are you so deluded and privileged that you consider your group being mentioned in the same sentence as another an example of Obama unfairly pandering to that other group? Really?

You can't expect busybody to use words properly.

Consider what he chooses to read. The quoted article uses "engaged" in the same sentence with "marriage", obscuring the intended meaning. If that had been seen by an editor with a high-school diploma, it would not have gone to print.

This heart-breaking photo was posted by TheMacMan on reddit with the caption, "His mom caught him spending time with his daddy. He lost daddy (SFC Benjamin Wise) in Afghanistan on Jan 15th."

So, Busybody is intended to be a phony joke poster?

Its pretty sad when "joke" posters like Busybody and Mike Yates consistently make more sense than 95% of the posters on this site. What does that say about the rest of you?

As to the original point of the thread, its so sad and disgusting that the so-called President of the United States is publically equating homosexuality with Father's Day and the importance of the family unit.

There should at least be two days a year we can celebrate the importance of heterosexuality and the heterosexual family without this crap intruding.

Shame, as usual, on this so-called "President" and shame on his disdain for the family unit.

Father's Day is not a celebration of hetero anything. Get your head out of your ass.
