I read the headline. I then had a question. Is/Was Obama ever known as Captain Hook? Anyone of you who follows such things?

My, you're full of spit and irrelevance today, aren't you?

Lord a'mighty, if that ain't the pot callin' the kettle black.

I must admit I kept reading through this to see where the erotica started--and didn't find it. Glad the feedback was excellent though.

Why on earth do you see the need to post this here? What does this have to do with erotica?

Umm. What's your point? (not that you usually have one of your own.) Both what I posted to this thread and what you quoted of me from other threads say essentially the same thing.

Yep, 2012 is certainly going to bring out all of those macho, backwoods racists again.

trysail doesn't quite understand why erotic content would be relevant to an erotica writer's forum.

Years and years ago, I co-curated an erotica art show, and we ran into this same conflation-- people were bringing in a lot of political art, that used sexual (or merely genital) images as commentary.

It was very depressing, not our show's focus or intent, and in the end we had to add some of it to fill our walls (not my choice) because so few people actually brought in erotic art that was erotic in intent.

We also got a lot of your basic female nude studies.

I'm thinking trysail has me on iggy. He's taking offense at half of a conversation.

It's me he's fascinated with. :D

I think it's because I help him egg his face here so often--pointing out that he seems to have made a wrong turn in looking for a chat board that matches his interests. (But then you do too. I guess he's just afraid of you.)

Nah, it's simple; I can't stand braggarts, hypocrites and frauds. That makes you a Triple Crown winner.

Interesting how this circles around to bite Trysail in the butt. (I was saying how easy it is for Try to egg his own face . . .) :D

Yeah, you posted this before. It didn't make any sense the first time, either. :D

Great save

Thank you Stella for a great try at getting this topic to resemble something that might be interesting to the visitors of the site.

I agree that a lot of people don't get the meaning of the word 'erotica'. Nudity is not erotica even though images of nude people can be erotic (an erotic conundrum ).

As for politics seeping into erotica forums. It seems to be universal. Perhaps because people who inhabit these places usually are highly intelligent and have an opinion about mostly everything. They may also lose track of what is appropriate for the arena they are in because they spend so much time doing and saying stuff that is considered inappropriate everywhere that their 'appropriateness filter' gets turned off.

i used to expect that people who are interested in sex would be "highly intelligent" but the evidence tells me that such folk are, simply, interested in sex. How intelligent they are is not really part of the equation. ;)

Sex for it's own sake, what a novel idea. ... Don't tell anyone else.

Women usually don't tell... That gets them called "sluts."

What is the opposite of "Slut"? How do we turn that term into a positive, in this "New World 21st Century"?

I ask because that is a question in the story I'm, working on.

Oh, Crocodiles?
This is a stunt, pulled by the Insurance industry in Australia, to sell insurance on impossible happenings. The odds of Obama being confronted by a crocodile, are so small as to be ignored. What ever the premium was, it was a pretty safe bet.
