Watch: Obama discusses encryption and Edward Snowden at SXSW

President Barack Obama talked about encryption at the SXSW Conference in Austin, Texas, on Friday, urging the tech community to find solutions on assisting law enforcement without compromising personal privacy.

Obama started the talk by saying he could not comment on the larger Apple-FBI legal battle that is heading to court on March 22. But he urged Silicon Valley to provide some relief to the FBI and other law enforcement agencies before a future incident lead to Congress drafting a draconian bill that limits encryption even further.

Obama complains that Silicon Valley is smarter than the combined forces of NASA, NSA, the CIA and the FBI. Maybe the issue is that the Government is incompetent?
