Obama Deploys Five More Terrorists Against The West

How are these turds a threat to national security?

Do they have ICBMS or something?

Were the people in Paris killed by ICBMs?

No they were killed by other people in Paris.

Are you fearful for the people of Oman or some shit? Do we have some political/economic motive to give a fuck as a nation?

Will our troops have to face them on the battlefield again.

If we don't send them they won't have to.

Did we release POWs captured during WWII before the end of the war? Just askin'.

Don't know, don't care because irrelevant today. Just sayin'

Now you going to answer the question or keep dancing around it? How exactly are these turds a threat to national security? Here is where I'm going with it...

Obama's ideology is more important than the national security of the United States

Is a total load of shit.....because they aren't a threat.

Basically Obama does the right thing but as usual too late because he's a coward.

vette, what exactly would it take to satisfy you that it is time to release a given Gitmo prisoner?

We didn't release POWs until after WWII was over, of which we held 425,000 here in the U.S alone, not counting those we held overseas, none of them were entitled to legal rights in civil courts. All were held by the CinC. The British didn't release their POWs until three years after the war was over. We need to hold them for the duration of the war.

This isn't a war and both "wars" are now officially over.

We didn't release POWs until after WWII was over . . .

And how do we tell when this one is over?

What exactly would it take to satisfy you that it is time to release a given Gitmo prisoner?

Who are not POWs, BTW; the W Admin insisted on classifying them as "unlawful enemy combatants" so that they would have neither the legal protections of POWs nor those of criminal defendants. How can you not have a problem with that?

They need to be kept for life if the war lasts that long, period.

But, again, how do we tell when it is over?

These are people who have pledged to wage war against the United States, dangerous people who present a continued threat to our people.

But, we don't know that, not until they are tried. Some were arrested just for being a Taliban official's driver or whatever.

Yes but the SCOTUS acting in its assumed role as auxiliary CinC decided to give them POW status, in violation of the Geneva Conventions.

Missed that. When? And how would it violate the GC?

The GC requires military organization, the wearing of uniforms, etc., to be true POWS. Read it and see for yourself.

Exactly. They aren't POWs because they aren't an army and we aren't at war. These are criminals and should be treated as such.

When they stop attacking the West.

Who's "they"? There will probably some Islamic faction or another "attacking the West," with violence or with words, for decades to come; we cannot hold every member of one accountable for all the others' actions.

They are all soldiers in the Jihad. They don't have to be tried

But, we don't know that until they are tried.

They are all soldiers in the Jihad. They don't have to be tried

Most of them weren't. They will become after release. I call this perfect brainwashing. As long as America is "at war", nobody will take your gun, and that's all that matters.

Vettey still hasn't even backed up his first line....

"Obama's ideology is more important than the national security of the United States"

How are these turds a threat to national security and how is this a demonstration of Obama choosing an ideology over national security?

I think he refuses to answer the hard questions because big fucking liar and total coward, as usual. :D Wouldn't be surprised if CPT. Federal Supremacy has crawled back into his iggy bunker or not.

You do realize it's not WWII or even WWIII right?

They need to be kept for life if the war lasts that long, period. These are people who have pledged to wage war against the United States, dangerous people who present a continued threat to our people.

Life of what war?

LOL what danger EXACTLY do they represent?

They haven't been convicted of anything, nor even had an attempt at a trial.

They have been held as political prisoners because the US wanted to. They can't be described as 'terrorists' because there is no evidence that they are. They were suspected of being terrorists or associated with terrorists but there has been no proof offered.

There is no evidence that they were even foot soldiers in war against America. They were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

If they had been held in mainland USA, their lawyers would have had them out on the streets within hours for lack of evidence. They were only held at Gitmo because the US administration knew it couldn't prove anything.

They may become terrorists now because they have justified anger at the way they were treated by the US.

If you were snatched off the street, sent to prison without any charge against you, and held for an indefinite period that might be for life, on no evidence at all - would you be angry?

During the Second World War, there were no politically-progressive left-wingers demanding that Nazi prisoners of war be freed. Nazi POW's had no U.S. Constitutional rights.

But the left respects & fears radical Islam. Isn't it obvious?

Barack Obama solemnly promised that one of his first acts, if elected president, would be to close Gitmo, but once he was in office he realized that emptying Gitmo would be an enormous blunder that could cost him any chance of re-election, so he didn't do it.

Until now. He's a lame duck, and he's already destroyed Democratic Party legislative power in the House & Senate, so he really doesn't care anymore!

His Secretary of State actually had singer James Taylor sing "You've Got A Friend" to the French. This administration has become an international embarrassment.
