The truth is securing the border is just shy of impossible and you probably shouldn't even try. It's a waste of time and money and something only fools would pursue. He'll never say that because he's a little girl but I suspect he knows it.

Well anything shy of a fifty foot tall, ten feet wide wall surrounded on both sides by a moat the first filled with piranhas the other with gators, those of course framed by electric fences. The wall itself will need shoulder to shoulder terminators who shoot anybody who comes within one mile of the wall. If Obama did this the Republicans would complain that the terminators dont' fly.

So he's not wrong.

Obama and Big Sis are working on a new "Metric" for measuring border security. I'm sure it's use will miraculously demonstrate improved security at the border, just in time for the election season.

Why secure the border, that's votes that are slithering in.

His point wasn't that the border is secure. His point was that his administration has already met the Republican demands they required prior to their joining a discussion on comprehensive immigration reform.

His claim is that he met their demands, but now they still refuse to talk. I don't know if that's true, but he never claimed the border is secure.

Even that wouldn't do anything. A majority of immigrants come here legally and just overstay their legal welcome. What would a wall or border security do?

I doubt it. Besides that's a bit of an extreme move to make. I don't really think you can secure the border and there are far better wastes of tax dollars than trying.

I agree there. That wall is a waste. Personally, I think amnensty was the better idea, get them to pay taxes. Besides, this country needs cheap labor, bring them all in.

While amnesty is eventually going to happen step one is force all employers to use e-verify. Then do periodic sweeps and if you have whatever percentage we agree is too much to be an "accident" your business license is revoked and you go to jail. Just keep nailing them to the wall until it sticks.

Step two would be working on backing down significantly on the war on drugs but it's going to take a lot more work to get people to agree to that.
