President Barack Obama criticized Kim Kardashian and her family, saying their reality TV shows have helped create a generation of youngsters who are obsessed with wealth and celebrity. Obama singled out socialite Kim Kardashian and her rapper boyfriend Kanye West for particular criticism in an interview with Amazon.com during a visit to one of the company's warehouses in Tennessee. Obama bemoaned the rise of reality TV shows and insisted celebrities who parade their wealth in front of fans have inadvertently changed the aspirations of young people.

No, not all. Duck Dynasty does the exact opposite of shows like the Kardashians. They have an emphasis on family, God, strong morals, honesty and hard work. The show is by no means perfect but as reality shows go it is certainly among the best and most positive.

BTW, I do recommend both books out now by the Robertsons. They aren't deep or hugely insightful but they are fun and show a family who believes in living life as the best people they can be.
Phils is very honest also. He does not shy from the fact that early on he was not a very nice man.

I gotta say I agree with him on that.

Also, I think Mrs. Obama's efforts to reduce obesity are at least trying to improve a serious societal problem. Even if there is legitimate fear of "food police," the reality is there are ridiculous numbers of very fat people. Its shocking when you go to a buffet and see them stuffing themselves.
