Almost all of Oakland's rulers are lezzards who got together today to blame the fire on rich people who rent all the adequate housing, leaving none for the starving artists.

I've seen it in a lot of places I've lived, wealthy people wanting to move to rundown areas to get away from the hustle and bustle, make the rundown areas in to hustle and bustle driving up property values so the long time residents can't afford to live there anymore.

Same with farm land, get out in the country then piss and moan about tractors on the road and the manure smell.

A very sad and old lesson, wood and fire don't mix. Believing "it won't happen to me" is an arrogance proven wrong time and time again. May these poor people rest in peace.
