There will always be far more research, hence profit, into discovering the right combination of gene therapy to greatly enhance the sex drive. Sort of like a permanent case of Viagraa I see the potential for a sci-fi lit' story written in the likes of Star Trek's discovery of Warp speed. Man's eternal quest to get laid constantly vs possible side effects and conflict with the moral puritian enemies.

Any stories like this? Any authors looking to take a crack at it?

Of course a permanent treatment for putting sex into overdrive would be great to market, but a conflict as the body gets ravaged by side effects creates a dilemma of sorts. Would people trade a shortned life of health problems for eternal sexual bliss?

Some would. A better solution would be the gradual eradication of inhibitions and taboos, along with the cure to all STDs and HIV. Then, the excuses gone, people could start following their primal instincts again.
