NY times article on porn writer

I didn't see a thread on this so here goes. The NY Times has a lengthy article titled, "My Dad, the Pornographer", which discusses how Andrew Jefferson Offutt V got to be a prolific porn writer. He wrote under many names over the decades and was a self-styled leader of porn writing.

I'm not familiar with the name, but holy crap did he crank out a lot (no pun intended).

With his longhand writing, then switching to three-fingered typing, it sure makes me feel lucky have have a computer to type up the little that I do.

One big thing I'm wondering about though, is given the stigma of porn=gross, how did the kids feel about this occupation? The tone didn't suggest the family being creeped out about it, the son talked as if it wasn't a big deal.
