This is a longish article which makes you a little bit sad as you'll sense the things to come.

You'll definitely feel the cogwheel turning, and you can do nothing about it. It's the world of Akutagawa and you know how he ended up.

The article was more interesting than the one which had been written by J G Ballard.

Welldone Mr. Tristram Hunt.

(Traditionally, British policymakers are all too easily drawn to American innovations. But, my time in Phoenix has shown the United States pursuing a model we desperately need to avoid: depopulating downtowns, ravaged countryside, unsustainable energy consumption, social and racial segmentation and a sprawling exurbia that is retreating unrelentingly into the future.)

Typical anti-american crap offering no solutions, merely whining.

If you harass me via PM any further under this ID you may turn my apathy towards you into something else. Since I cannot be sure of your other ID's I cannot make accusations. If you wish to harass me do so under your real ID.

You are just pissed off because I did not confirm the receipt of your private message.

However, thinking back - from my personal point of view - the content of your private message might have been humorous in self-deprecating way.

Do you want to hear my new "tooth" joke?

Or do you prefer the usual "venison" joke?

I find I can't get upset at faceless cowardice, the power to antagonize is useless when directed by anonymous stupidity towards intelligence. Again, care to name yourself?

Fine, you hide in your sick lil world trying to gain some happiness by insulting and harassing others. For you, it might even work.

I am sorry I asked for your real ID, you have my pity.

Please accept my apology, it is heartfelt.

Things fall apart. The centre cannot hold.

Pursuant to the topic of exurbia, did anyone see that X-Files episode where Scully and Mulder were in a gated community?

The founder had called up some Tibetan monster to 'enforce' the community's 'covenant'. The surviving people had a lot of cleaning up to do after.

It was a good episode.

I missed that one...damn.

I can see what the article states here happening where I live. Beautiful forest areas are now shopping estates, sprawlling concrete consumer joy. The affect it has on the wildlife is terrible.
