Now what?

Now that the impeachment hearings have proven that there are no witnesses to any impeachable act what will Nancy do? If it goes to trial even more light will make the swamp look worse and Trump will be all the more the hero. If they vote on it they will probably loose the vote and that leaves them humiliated. Many that vote to impeach will be voted out of office next election. So it is a complex problem the have created. It makes me wonder if Adam Shit is a double agent working for Trump just to bolster his support base. Or is it just that Adam greatly over estimated how smart he is and underestimated how smart the average guy on the street is?

So what are your predictions. What will they do next?

They're going to vote to impeach by pure party line vote.

The Democrats were going to do that all along.
The hearings were just to sling mud
to see if anything would stick.

Maybe. The political calculus starts getting mushy now.

Nancy doesn't dare call a vote up unless she has the votes. Can they whip the dem. moderates into line and force them to commit political suicide? Calling for a vote when you don't have the votes is even more of a humiliation than not calling for the vote at all.

And not calling for a vote at all is the other choice and would be a tacit admission that they spent the past year pissing in the wind. And this would put Nancy's leadership in jeopardy.

Right now my estimation is that the dems are in the process of shooting themselves in the foot and the only real decision they have is what foot to put the hole in.

The few remaining moderates know the one fact of life as a Democrat...

If you get out of lockstep on this vote
vast resources will go into the primaries. ;) ;)

And that's where it gets even more interesting. The "vast resources" that flowed into the 2018 elections that put the moderates there to begin with was Bloomberg monies.

Now that Mickey is in for real he's going to need those moderates in the house to push his agenda through if elected. That means that he's going to have to fund them again and that means that Nancy et al have just become political has beens. Those moderates can now vote "No" on impeachment without a care in the world as to what Nancy et al thinks or doesn't think.

So what is the Bloomberg calculus? Backing impeachment fires up the repub. base but it also takes out the majority of the dem challengers. Biden gets raked over the coals during the trial and the dem senators are stuck in the Senate during the duration of the trial, no campaigning.

The bottom line is impeachment might be more of a Mickey call than a Nancy call as the political winds have changed once more.

If Bloomberg gets the pick to go against Donald Trump he will rapidly become the laughing stock that he has always been to those who know about him, and it will be exposed for the general public to see once and for all.

I don't think people have worked out yet what is 'behind' the Trump machine.

And I'm very surprised people, especially the media, are that damn dumb.

Nobody in the big business world likes Bloomberg because he is a know-it-all who has literally no friends, only minions and people relying on his meager thin drips of gravy. He is deeply entrenched in the so-called 'deep state' and was in that select group of Wall Street executives who somehow never got pinned for doing all of the 'leveraged buy-out' and a Milken-style junk bond financing that saw most of the firms these people headed go broke. Citicorp was far and away the most-indebted bank and investment banking/brokerage owner at the time of the post-Eighties bail-outs with John Merrwether and Myron Scholes behind the 'game theory' scheme that ended with the massive bail-outs of LTCM and everyone associated, by then Chairman of the Fed Alan Greenspan.

Bloomberg has 'skeletons in the closet' to do with all of that that will rapidly become a political nightmare for him. But, he DOES need to 'cover his a**' over 9/11 now, doesn't he, what with Trumpski going into all of that now with a DIFFERENT iteration of the FBI, now that the idiots have been kicked. So, what option does he have but 'to run for President?' That way he can say all the mud that comes out will be 'just political.'

He's a fool and a knave and he's not anywhere near as wealthy or as savvy as he's been made out to be. 'He' got a big sum from the insurance post 9/11. And when I say 'he' I mean Salomon Bros so that I don't get maliciously sued here!

Since your premise is false, what will happen is articles of impeachment will be drawn up and voted on.

Oh, and Nunes will have yet another ethics violation filed against him.

While that all may be true the fact of the matter is that he's got an extensive ground machine within the dem. party. As such, and politicians being what they are these days, the dems will suck his dick for the monies. He can exert considerable clout WRT the impeachment vote in the house.

The general election is almost a year out and in politics that's a couple of lifetimes.

And that will doom the effort and them as well.
