Now this is a Christmas Miracle

And a very interesting read it was, too. One thing I think they should have mentioned was the skill of the Pilot/s. To get the thing down at all takes no small skill, and in bad weather - lots, particularly on a rain-soaked runway (I wonder how fast he was going ?)

Given the weather conditions, the pilot's desire to put the thing onto the ground as fast as possible is easily understood!

There are some questions about the approach and the speed of the landing but I'm amazed looking at the damage to the aircraft that no one lost their lives.

I'll be interested to see what the inquest reveals about this.

I'm sure the cause of the accident will be blamed on the pilots but I'm also sure there will be a lot of other things involved.

Unfortunate, but nice to see all made it, even with some injuries. Glad they will all get to go home.

"Christmas miracle" is the only way we can explain what's happened to the prices on over 800 games on the Steam storefront. It's like a "Greatest Hits" special of Steam's best sales throughout the year.

Huh?

I understood it, but it was a forced connection with your original topic. It is out of place, to say the least.

Wow, that plane is jacked up. I am also glad to hear that it's passengers are having a mostly happy ending.

Please keep us posted for further news of this crash, Cat.

If I understood it right, foul weather ( heavy rain ) and a very wet runway would imply the plane has to be put down almost any way you can. Given a moderately short runway, the pilot's on a hiding to nothing anyway.

From the Jamaica Observer:-

". . . . . said that everything was going well aboard the plane. When it landed, there was a feeling of exuberance as they had experienced terrible weather while coming in.

But that joy was short-lived, as instead of stopping on the runway as it was supposed to, the plane smashed through the perimeter fence and crossed over to Port Royal road and then ended up on the beach."
