Now the FBI is saying that the plane that crashed in Penn. may have had Airforce 1 as a target but the president did not return directly from Florida.

Is it possible for an airplane to know the exact whereabouts of another airplane? Sounds like a far fetched idea to me, but that is what I'm hearing.

Not likely Willy and Airforce one travels with its own contingent of security, unlikely it would be a target as this was a well planned out attack and that would have been a target there was little, if any chance of even getting close to, let alone crashing into it

Very unlikely

Let's all imagine a bunch of guys with box cutters flying a 747 or 757 around while they hunt for the very well protected, faster, smaller Air Force One, which starts in Florida and zips all over hell all day. The press conference at which Fleisher tried to put this one over was very chaotic, as reporters clearly were unconvinced that The Pres ever was in physical peril (Cheney sitting in the White House, yes, was in danger). I hope this is not some scuzzy attempt to make W more sympathetic.

BTW, they're reporting that three very aggressive Middle-Eastern-seeming men were about to be removed by the police from a 9am NYC-LA flight yesterday morning, when they somehow disappeared after making the flight crew VERRY nervous. This would be just BEFORE the first jet hit the WTF, so here's hoping those motherfuckers are tracked and brought in! Remember that previous bombings were solved in part because of mistakes by the bombers - McVeigh had no license plate, the WTF bombers wanted their truck rental refund, etc. Dead bombers tell no tales, so the suicide aspects bury the potential squealers. We need some live plotters! Forget the science fiction re AF 1 and find them....

I heard that the plane that crashed near Pittsburgh was going to hit the White House, but it was delayed. Once the passengers found out what was going on, some of them tried to take the plane back and it crashed.
