Are trolls really relevant any more?

A couple of years ago they seemed to be able to hurt people and whole campaigns were unleashed to "get them". Then they became the "funny voice of old posters looking to speak the truth" blah blah. Now they just seem like so much children tugging on skirts. No one cares about them. No one seems bothered by them. In fact, most people like them because it gets the more verbose members to create some of their funniest posts.
