Nobody is pro-pedophilia and all professional bodies continue to classify it as a psychiatric disorder. No children are being threatened.
The professor quoted as an example of someone "pushing" is a New Zealander that's been dead for seven years so I'm not sure how much pushing he'll be doing other than daisies. He still said that pedophilia is a mental disorder but also distinguished a subgroup of people who could only feel genuine attraction towards children/teens and did not want to hurt them any more than a normal person wants to hurt their spouse or significant other. It was his belief that if a personality was constructed in that way and 1) nobody was being hurt or exploited, and 2) the person was not experiencing distress, that it should not be classified as a mental illness.
His opinions have not ended up determining the APA's course despite what the scary article says.

The Koch Bros are a bifurcated dichotomy. One has experienced cancer and treatment and yet keeps polluting the environment causing others to get sick with various illnesses, including cancer, all the while spending millions on fighting the EPA and thinking their companies are above the law and environmetal regs. And its my understanding the right thinks these guys are true patriots. Money talks on many levels.

No, there was such a time. Lt was also kind and reasonable. Both of them are in California, so I suspect the underlying causes are the same.
