Neil DeGrasse Tyson Accused of Raping a Former Student

Are progressive women ever going to start teaching their daughters to speak up/out immediately when offenders strike instead of sentencing themselves to "30 years" of "nightmare"?

How many other women do offenders like this strike because those who've been stricken before stay silent for so very long?

This isn't political you asshat.

But keep trying to make it that way.

Men are rewarded for sexually aggressive behavior and women are traditionally punished for speaking out about it.

I know that doesn't quite fit your rabid desire to politicize this bullshit, but get over it.

Where did she bring up politics? Maybe she used "progressive" properly instead of as a political connotation.

As an aside, you look extremely familiar.

Pretty clearly there. He/she whatever is consistently in this mode. Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with their other posts.

Don't you mean "praps"?

And I explained in the second paragraph what she COULD have meant.

No I meant perhaps.

And if you look through their posting history (I'm not convinced of their gender) you will see they are a partisan hack for the most part.

Leopards don't change spots.

I think it's an Eyer.

I don't understand this or the Weinstein thing as being "takedowns" of the left. Assholes are assholes.

They're trying to use it as some way to rationalize the pussy grabber in chief.

And yes, assholes are assholes.

This behavior is at every level, everywhere for almost every woman.

We just learn to live with it because there aren't a whole lot of choices. At least not yet.

What's the reward you mention for sexually aggressive behavior? Is it getting laid more often?

Like any other sort of bullying, it's a power trip you can use. But, better than regular bullying, because nobody ever thought someone secretly wanted that swirly, accused them of dressing to entice a sucker punch, or assumed making up stories about having their lunch money stolen just to get attention, or declared that they ran into the fist in order to further their career.

It's a catch 22 crime for the victim.

Camille Paglia told a story once, it stuck with me. I'll pass it on to y'all now.

When she was in college females on campuses all over the nation had curfews and males didn't.
Feminist, at campuses everywhere, fought for the same rights as men.
The colleges told them no and explained that the world is dangerous place.
The feminist replied, "Give us the choice to take risks like the men."
The colleges ended up liberating the women from the rules that were meant to protect them. The feminist won, no more curfews for the women.

Fast forward 50 years. Women today have lost the knowledge that those women from the past had. That the world isn't a safe place.
