There's much great music out there, but for me, there's nothing like that early to late-sixties R&B: Stax-Volt, Motown, Muscle Shoals. Otis Redding and Aretha and Wilson Pickett, James Brown and Jackie Wilson, Sam & Dave; the Temptations and Miracles and Four Tops. I cut my teeth on that, and isaac Hayes was in the middle of it. It's amazing when you find out how much great music he had a hand in.
