Got a favorite?

Right now I'm listening to The Curley Shuffle, by the Jump In The Saddle Band.

"BABY GOT BACK"

Is there anyone who adored the hell out of "DISCO DUCK" by "Slick" Rick Dees?

I don't remember the name and I have not heard it in a long time. When the Chicago Bears were good and had Refrigerator Perry playing for them, they came out with a song that I really enjoyed.

Hmmm, Snoopy vs The Red Baron was a pretty good one, can't remember who sang it however.

Convoy by C.W. McCoy

And hey Tony, it's the Super Bowl Shuffle

Alice's Restaurant - Arlo Guthrie

Motorcyle Song - Arlo Guthrie

"I don't want a pickle
I just want to ride on my motor-sickle..."

I've been listening to a silly CD I got for a contribution to Pacific Radio a few years ago, and the song "My School Prayer" by The Foremen.

It's very funny, if one is of a liberal slant, and it doesn't hurt to be irreverant, either.

For some reason CL that reminds me of a few more...

"Elvis is Everywhere" by Mojo Nixon
"Stuart" by the Butthole Surfers

The Royal Guardsmen if it is the one I am thinking of......

After the turn of the century, in the clear blue skies over Germany can a roar and a thunder men have never heard......

10 20 30 40 50 or more The bloody red baron was rolling up the score. 80 men dies trying to end that spree......

Is that it? You can get it at Napster, I am playing it now, I need a little help with the lyrics.

...of the bloody Red Baron of Germany...

Oh, Juliangel, I used to know that one word for word when I was but a wee lass...

"The Streak", by Ray Stevens.

"They call him the streak,
Fastest thing on two feet.
If there's an audience to be found,
He'll be streakin' around,
Invitin' public critique."

Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron
The Royal Guardsmen

(Dick Holler)

After the turn of the century
In the clear blue skies over Germany
Came a roar and a thunder men had never heard
Like the scream and the sound of a big war bird
Up in the sky, a man in a plane
Baron von Richthofen was his name
Eighty men tried, and eighty men died
Now they´re buried together on the countryside

Chorus:
Ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty or more
The Bloody Red Baron was rollin´ out the score
Eighty men died tryin´ to end that spree
Of the Bloody Red Baron of Germany

In the nick of time, a hero arose
A funny-looking dog with a big black nose
He flew into the sky to seek revenge
But the Baron shot him down--´Curses, foiled again!´

CHORUS

Now, Snoopy had sworn that he´d get that man
So he asked the Great Pumpkin for a new battle plan
He challenged the German to a real dogfight
While the Baron was laughing, he got him in his sight

That Bloody Red Baron was in a fix
He´d tried everything, but he´d run out of tricks
Snoopy fired once, and he fired twice
And that Bloody Red Baron went spinning out of sight

CHORUS

FADE ON CHORUS SECOND TIME

Oh Yea you can't have the first "Snoopy -v- The Red Baron" with out the second part of the Story so here it is too :)

E

Snoopy's Christmas
The Royal Guardsmen

Note: The first time the refrain is sung, it has a different line
than the latter times. ´Asking peace of all the world´ is
rendered as ´Bringing peace to all the world´ on all following
refrains in the song.

The news it came out in the First World War
The bloody Red Baron was flying once more
The Allied Command ignored all of it´s men
And called on Snoopy to do it again
Was the night before Christmas and forty below
When Snoopy went up in search of his foe
He spied the Red Baron and fiercely they fought
With ice on his wings he knew he was caught

REFRAIN
Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ringing through the land
Asking peace of all the world
And good will to man

The Baron had Snoopy dead in his sights
He reached for the trigger to put him tight
Why he didn´t shoot well we´ll never know
Or was it the bells from the village below

REFRAIN

The Baron made Snoopy fly to the right
And forced him to land behind the enemy lines
Snoopy was certain that this was the end
When the Baron cried out ´Merry Christmas, my friend!´
The Baron then offered a holiday toast
And Snoopy our hero saluted his host
And then with a roar they were both on their way
Each knowing they´d meet on some other day

(Keep repeating refrain until the song fades)

LOVE the Snoopy songs, my sweetie is putting them on a CD for me. He still has the original vinyl albums. I also love Ray Stevens, my favorite is the Mississippi Squirrel. I think that is the title. My son got me hooked on the Jeff Foxworthy version of the 12 Days of Christmas. My sweetie loves Alice's Restaurant & plays it over &over when we are on long car trips.
