Novellas

One of the novellas I'm writing is close to first draft done (say 60 pages). I'm wondering if 2 novellas in the same package is a better sale proposition.

Probably. A novella is OK as a download but not as a printed book unless your name is Helene Hanff.

A single Novella is a problematic sales item in print. A full length novel, or a set of short stories is possibly better. But two or more novellas that make up the length of a novel would work.

Non-English Europeans are more used to the Novella format than US or UK readers.

E-book or print? In either case, both the e-book revolution and refinement of POD printing have brought the novella back as profitable and marketable. You can make more profit out of two separate novellas than two novellas in one package.

I haven't crossed THAT bridge yet. I read single novellas don't sell but what I have isn't inflatable beyond 75 pages. LeCarre's first was about 75 pages or so. Sixty years ago 2fers were offered by pulp publishers when novellas had a market.
