I apologize for starting a new thread. I'm sure this must have been addressed before, but I can't find it and I can't find a way to search for it.

I would like get e-mail notifications when someone messages me. I believe I used to get these notifications, and I believe there used to be a setting for it. But I can't find it.

I'd also like to get notifications here— not email — when sometime i follow posts. Can anyone help me with either of these things?

Is this what you have at the top of your screen? When I have messages the count shows on/by? the little envelope.

Mine is slightly different. I'm using an Android-based Kindle Fire tablet. But it's similar. And yes, it does give me a number count of messages there. What I'm hoping for (once had, I think) is to be notified by email when those messages come in.

Select your name in that top right area that AG31 posted a pic of, then under the 'Your Account' tab, select 'Preferences. That should take you to your account preferences screen, select 'Preferences' again from the list along the left-hand side. Up near the top there should be an e-mail options section, and you can select to receive e-mails when someone convos you. Last i knew it still worked.

As for getting notifications when someone you follow posts, I don't see an option for that in the notifications options on that same page.
