I don't think there's a real "how to" on dancing.
I spent a dozen years dancing in musical theater, yet I am still self-conscious and ill-at-ease on the dance floor. Dancing lessons (which is what the choreographer of every show provided) have done nothing to help me on the open dance floor.
It is a profound irony that I have no problem dancing on stage when all eyes are on me, but at a club where odds are no one is looking, I feel uncomfortable.
learn belly dance, and also take some basic dance lessons like salsa or ballroom. Between them you will learn enough moves to dance, and then dance whenever you can.
I remember a MJ interview when he said that he and Janet used to watch Fred Astaire and Gene kelly movies and learn those moves.
really? that sucks but i can understand! lol i could quote lines on stage better then i could when infront of others that i knew (though that was in highschool!)
i always wanted to belly dance! lol i keep seeing the perfect outfit for that but was to shy to get it and plus i have to figure out where to get a self help cd!, also i would LOVE to learn ballroom and salsa! but i have yet to find a place here that teaches it, all they have here is (shudder) line dancing!
i think getting drunk will make you THINK you dance better lol anyway i am only 20 lol...i will look some of those you tube dances up! i did not think bollywood and i like watching that!
