This thread will have much venting.

I would like the good people of this board to be aware of two inventions that have begun to revolutionize the way we communicate.
E-mail and IM

Yes, no longer must every thought that you wish to send to another person become a thread on this board. You can say, "Hi, how are you?" or other personal messages without making a general nuisance of yourself. (Oh, wait; being a general nuisance is what some people here specialize in - best not give them too many ideas)

Yes, it can be cute - but twenty versions of "Hi. How are you?" floating around the board is not cute. It's almost irritating.
I don't raise myself above others, carve, "Thou shalt not..." into stone tablets and proceed to beat said tablets over the head of the offenders - though in a perfect word I would be a goddess and you'd all tremble at the thought of incurring my wrath.

Nevertheless, I would like to request that certain brand of silliness declines for a while.

Do that and I won't even complain about starting a second thread to respond to a previous one.

No apologies needed. Now that I do more than skim the thread I see mention was made of Todd's failing E-mail.
In fact, I apologize for my quick temper in this matter. If I had restrained myself a tad longer I would have realized that this wasn't a group of people having a bit too much fun but, instead, communicating the only way they could.

Again, I'm sorry for my too quick temper.

However, I must say that I just got my new computer last nite after a nasty ass virus knocked the old one dead. I had to use AOL 3.0 for the last 3 weeks, email was only capable during that split second at night when the stars were in just the right alinement and no chat service was downloadable because all my file paths had been destroyed.

Or maybe she was pointing her finger indirectly at Cyan, who started several different "Check you email, <fill in the blank>" threads in one day. Could he done it all on one thread? Yep. Could he have just waited for the people to see the email in their own sweet time? Probably.

Whisper, you sounded just like my mother regarding my sarcastic comments. No one seems able to distinguise between when I'm being sincere and when I'm not. Oh, well.

You're post was, however, dead on. Though not specifically aimed at Cyan or anyone else I was upset, not with the people named, but the people who started the threads.
