I keep trying to find this story, but haven’t had much luck yet. It could be romance, or mature, or first time - I’m just not sure which.

The main male character is a farmer (I think in Missouri - I know one scene is in Springfield). At the start of the story, he is moving cows because the weather has destroyed fencing, and the cows are in the wrong field. He’s also older - I think 40s.

The main female character is 18, and traveling from North Carolina to Oregon. She dreams of being a dancer, but her parents recently died, and she’s moving to live with an aunt. Everything she owns is in the pos car she’s driving. Somehow she’s gotten off the main road and is driving down a deserted road when the car dies.

MMC sees the car on the side of the road, and stops to help. He offers to let her stay with him a little while, and then he’ll get her to a bus station to continue her trip to her aunt’s. He calls someone to take care of the car which is only good for scrap. MFC calls her aunt to let her know what’s going on, but finds out aunt has changed her mind. She’s jealous that her boyfriend might prefer the pretty, younger niece.

MMC offers to let MFC stay as long as she wants. MFC starts to help around the farm. They go into town to eat at the local diner. Over multiple conversations, MFC finds out about MMC’s former relationship with the female owner of the diner. The owner is also now in a dom relationship with her waitress, which is secret, because of the fear about how others will react.

MMC and MFC are falling in love, but afraid to act on it. He’s afraid because he’s so much older. She’s afraid because she’s younger and she’s a virgin. Diner owner gives her advice, particularly that the MFC will have to make the moves on MMC. She also tells the MFC that he’s a caring lover.

Eventually, it happens. She gets pregnant. They get married. Everything works out.

Author and title please.

As you gave a really good selection of possibilities the story was about, I focused on the one word you felt was positive in the story: Springfield.

I found many authors who hail from there, but no stories about or based around Springfield. If you are positive this was 100% true, then it's possible the story was either removed, or the author left Literotica (resulting in the same thing).

Sorry.
