more of a idea for a new section for stories. Although it may already be there but if it is, I missed it. Anyone else think it would be nice to have a story section for story's that are true? As in actually happened in real life.

This idea comes up from time to time. The problem with it is that nobody can tell what is really true on the internet.

For example you have in your profile:
Birthday: December 20, 1979
Location: Northwest Ohio
Occupation: DJ
but I have no way of knowing how much of that is true. Perhaps you really live in Southeast Asia and just wish you lived in Northwest Ohio to such an extent that you have named your house Northwest Ohio in order to make that data true, but utterly misleading. Perhaps DJ stands for Deputy Joiner (aka assistant carpenter) and you just wish people would pay you to play records.

For all I can tell from the internet you could just be an experimental high quality artificial intelligence the military are testing in an unlikely environment before unleashing it with deadly intent on the non-neocons' websites. After all an interest in herpetology is exactly the sort of thing an AI would claim, thinking it no more nor less unusual than an interest in biology or geology.

same holds true for pictures in the am pics section... yet we still have a am pics section.

Actually my father is a retired carpenter and I have experience in the field. Oh and for the military AI part your information has been logged. Expect a knock on your door from a couple four star generals.

I suppose it is quite possible that stories have been written that are if not true, based on true events in the author's life, but who knows.

As Snooper said this is cyber space and all that lies herein is suspect to some degree or other.

Going back years ago remember all those letters in Penthouse forum that started, "I never believed all thos things in penthouse forum until this happened to me........" It was usually pretty easy to tell where the truth and where the creative writing lay.

Many of mine are based on true events. Honestly if the Lit gods decide to add a new section it absolutely must be Cuckold so that Loving Wives can be reserved for positive relations between hubby and wife and all the cheating stuff can be separated out. When one distinct type of story makes up half of a category it rates it's own category.

That said we could probably lump non-human with Sci-fi Fantasy without anybody noticing. Could drop non-erotic (does anybody read these, specially if they aren't part of a series?). you could probably squeeze mind control into the Sci-Fi also to clean up the required space to split Loving Wives.

Some things have really happened...

I've written an 8-part story (more parts to come) about a young woman going to college and, when the country goes to war, is drafted for military service. I've been a college student myself, so some of my experiences have found their way into those stories, as with others stories and things that have happened in my life.

To a certain extent all stories have something autobiographical in them.

Door? What's a door? I only have ports and they are all firmly controlled by a firewall.
