Not really writers block but...

I am having some writing issues and wondering how alone I am or if it's a common issue. I have some multi-chapter stories that I need to get back to. Some characters that I want to play with again. Some completely new story ideas. In all of these cases I have some if not several stories planned out, know what will happen, most of the events and conversations already have been played out in my head and yet...I just cannot seem to write them down and post them. Full blown stories, weird scenarios, and cool shit going down...stuck in my head with no outlet. It wouldn't even be hard to write them because I tend to write short stories, not novels but every time I set aside the time to do it and sit down at the computer I end up on Facebook or an internet crawl that takes me from the care and feeding of a fruit bat to W.W.2 concentration camp survivor stories.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I don't, because if I was having this sort of problem with something I was writing, no part of it would see the light of day until/unless it was finished. That would make it easier just to discard an unfinished work if I'd lost interest in it before it was resolved.

I have bouts of writer's block every now and then. Usually a change of scenery, watching a good movie (whose theme is somewhat similar to my story) or reading something else for a change helps me deal with it.

I'm not retired, so I don't have all the time in the world to dedicate myself to writing. When the mood strikes, I can write about 3000 words in the spare time I have. I can't force myself to complete a scene/story. I tried it more than once, and the resulting crap on the screen convinced me that I shouldn't try it in the future.

I think my case in different. Since I'm not hard-pressed to complete something, I can take it easy. The same cannot be said for a professional writer whose income depends on completing his predefined contract.

I do a lot of writing on airplanes, on the reasoning that it's one of the only places I'm going to have my laptop computer and no (free) interent. Though lately I've been pushing to do a little writing every week as well, because I only fly somewhere a couple times a year and now that I have some stories up I don't want the gaps of time between new stories to be overly long.

My first story I said it'll be done whenever it's done. Now I have a self-imposed release schedule and I'm hoping I can keep ahead of it.
